That's horrible english. In all seriousness I can't read or understand what you just wrote at all. And don't give me that 'english isn't my first language' crap. It sure isn't mine either. I think this thread needs to be locked up in a closet somewhere.

Umm... let me get this straight. You did commissions for people for money. Then you cheated them by using Photoshop filters "just to see if you could get away with it". Even though you didn't charge them anything for it, and even if it was meant to be a joke, that's NOT a very professional way of going about doing commissions. No wonder nobody trusts you.

If you want to do things for other people and expect to get rewards, don't even think about cheating them like that. Most people that want commissions of their character really care about that character. They are also trusting you to draw their character just like you said you would. I'm sure you can learn from this experience (and your Paint drawing was really good) but don't expect to be forgiven straight away. Once you lose general trust, it's nearly impossible to get it back.

To find new people to commission, it's always a good idea to show your style and put up examples of your work. If you've cheated others in the past, this is even more of a reason to show off that you can REALLY draw. I for one don't get a good impression of your post at all, there's nothing to show me that you could draw my characters in a nice way.

Oh, and better use of english language helps too. Most people won't even bother reading such abused language. Spelling mistakes here and there are ok, but your text looks like you didn't even bother. If you really have a hard time, use a text-editing spell-checker.

English is your first language so speak it please. =]

And Perynne was only telling you like it is. Don't be rude to people because they are telling you something you don't want to hear. As for the thread title, EXTREMELY misleading. And if that was just to pull attention towards your post then again, that makes this even more deceptive. Okay explain your post to us in english please. I dont speak "anglich"

Oh man, I would like to first say, Quaility is horrible .

Lets see: You have to work on porportion (Head to Body) you also needa work on shape, its a bit too jagged, you also needa work on smoothness and "freefloatingnesses"

Lets see: You also need to work on the posture, your prespective and your porpotion

K.

better than what i expected.

nice clean lines.

but than i can't really see.

gradient is so bad even photoshop has hard time bringing the lines out.

but looks like ur proportion is all whacked.
possibly due to not drawing rough sketches to get the basic of picture drawn before doing final lines. if u are new to drawing use light lines to get the basic of picture done first. Its like foundation of the picture.

also learning proportion is not that hard. it just takes practice. other than that i cant really say much.

everyone starts somewhere.

u can prob start practicing shading. simple shading can actually bring picture forward.

also she is bit crooked. i dunno if u done that on purpose or not, but if u didn't that would be balance of the picture.

also use the camera where there is light.
that practically kill the picture.

final verdict?

if u are new to drawing k u still got time

i sugggest learning from basics.

i remember buying a book for friend for around 10 buck that actually shows all the necessary beginner skills to get u started.

and no im not trying to be rude.
if u go to art school this is something u should expect.

i took 8 week course of fundamental of design and u draw one line wrong and they are all over u.

Well, if anubis_master just wanted to show that he/she can do something else than photoshopping screenshots, then I say: you pass.

As for the quality of the drawing, it does look like a beginner's drawing, so I suppose you are a beginner. If you want comissions then studystudystudy.

I am a failure....and a noob. I didnt see the second page to this thread...FTL. Yeah noob here (me) said that i await eggys ele when it was alrdy done but on second page. W00t i am a retard.

But to the subject, as for body, not bad. The head to body proportion is a bit off (bobblehead FTW). There is not shading making it look more 3D. Still you draw better than me. (I am a perfectionist at drawing, but i suck at it...so it takes me like 3 hours to draw a line...hmmm)

Well you pass, for a new drawer.

I think with practise you could do much better.

If this is the thing you weren't trying to 'get away with'; the rubbish you posted previously was an improvement compared to this piece of trash.

if you really want critiques, I suggest using all your fingers to actually make something recognisable, would be advised.

From one amateur to another: Always have plenty of reference material to hand, it really helps, or so I've found. I don't mean to be rude, but it looks like you've skipped all the foundation layers of the picture and tried to draw the final detail straight on. Another thing you could do well to take to heart is that there are no straight lines or angular shapes on the human body, everything is continuous curves.

Yes, those are all mistakes you've made, and you know? Those are all mistakes I've made in the past too - and I made them probably many more times than you will. Oh, and get a better camera, or at least use the flash next time, eh?

Well I'm not much of an artist myself (I always wanted to make a thread here since I thought it was neat, but I'm always too lazy/feel crummy next to the greatness here >.<). Anyways, from my point of view, it's actually a good starting point if this is indeed a first for you.

As others have pointed, proportions seems to be your weak point, once you get that right, you can work on details and expressions and such. My suggestion is don't draw the full drawing with details right at the beginning, use a skeleton . It can be something really simple like a stick figure with articulations, just so you can get a feel of the pose/proportions to know if they're right. Once you've done that, you move onto the "meat" and the details, then, you can either ink it and erase the lines, or scan it and erase the lines digitally . I wish I had a link for you to work on but I can't really think of one at the moment.

Other than that, it's a very good starting point. Keep working at it, you can only get better .

@ OP
Your drawing for the clothes and figure are ok for someone who doesnt want to draw - the face just makes the picture look unfinished. (which in itself is a shame) The detail that you put into the dress and the shoulder parts make it look like you almost starting enjoying what you were doing. Going back to the face - you can go one of 2 directions if you're serious - either try to develop a stylised fashion to draw, or take some time to practise drawing faces - Ill tell you now the human face is insanely difficult to get 'right' practise, time, trial and error, lessons, frustation, well you get the idea.

Try to take pictures of your drawing with enough light so that we can see what you're showing.

Hope you keep up with the drawing.
