Difference between farming solo and w/ heroes?

Is there a difference between farming solo and farming with heroes, and if so what is it? (Besides the fact the party count is 1 solo and 4 with heroes... thank you very much )

I understand that henchies get loot that I might have got had they not been along and I never even get to see it, but if my heroes get loot wouldn't it show up in my inventory since I share it with them? If that's not the case, please explain where the heroes' loot goes, and why I can't use it for them instead of stuff *I* get.

the hero system isnt "fair". there are a few threads about how heros steal your drops without helping to pay for their equipment. they work just like henchmen, except you have to buy everything for them.

I went looking for those threads using the search function but couldn't find anything. Would you mind terribly pointing me to one or more or giving me some identifying information about them so that I CAN find them with search.

Until I hear from you again I'm going to try 'heroes steal' as my search criteria.

Heroes/hench take the same drops as if they were real players. If you got all the drops, imagine how much easier it would be to farm with four rather than solo and get the same benefit.

Don't think of equipping your heroes as a burden, think of it as a privilege. Before, people were always whining about how they wanted the hench to be better or customizable. Well now you can make them "better" 'cause you can make them into exactly what you want them to be. You don't have to equip them with any runes or insignias, and you can give them max junk weapons that drop along the way. And of course, for the most part, you don't even have to use heroes at all anyway.

its not assumption. it is fact. henchmen and heros take the drops that a real player would take. they dont go anywhere, you just dont get them.
