I have a paragon, just accepted both quest and was trying to travel to kaineng center and Lion's arch to do the quest, but the only port showing up in the "ship" menu is temple of balthazar, is there something I am missing? or I have to get someone else to ferry me there?

yes i do, i don't think i can get these two quest without the other chapters, and all my other characters from prophecies and factions came over to nightfall just fine.

There are two different quests in Kamadan that you must complete to gain travel access to LA and Kaineng.

Hey there, First you need to unlock the Lions arch and Kaineng from Nightfall in order to complete these quest the npc's are in Kamadan. Also uploaded a pic so you know exactly where the npc's are. Hope it helps.

Also, the canthan ambassador can ferry you (indirectly) to Lion's Arch without having to complete the primary missions or paying for a ferry. Just talk to him, go to a guild hall, then cross the guild hall to the ambassador on the other side who will take you to Lion's Arch.
