Well i thought of this idea where on the screen, like the ping dot, there could be a dot or window in which you could drag skills. When you did this, everytime that skill recharged, it would automatically use it for you instead of you having to click it again. Only certain skills could be buffable, and those could all be listed in their explanations as [Buffable] or something. Also, there could be options, such as only do this when you have a certain amount of energy. Skills such as healing skills wouldnt necesarrily be buffable, but i was thinking along the lines of skills like Fire Attunement, Aura of Restoration, Rampage as One and other skills that some builds are based around or are needed constantly. Perhaps for the Bunny Thumper build, which is based on Rampage as One, that skill could be Buffable, and you wouldn't have to click it every time. I'm not positive whether this would alter the gameplay too much or not, but i just had it in mind.

Suggestions?, Comments?, Insults? I'm open to all.

Lol imagine the amount of coding required?

Plus your mind is meant to work out when/where/how your meant to use the skill. Stop being lazy

Well, I feel like if you can't manage to keep track of your skill...that's a problem.

Overall, I don't like the idea. There's not much more to say. Also, the programming would be kind of awkward too, wouldn't it?

The whole point of GW is to be able to move and use the 8 skills efficiently and effectively. If you can't do it, maybe GW isn't the game for you, pbs.org has some kids games that you shouldn't have problems with.

Also, an auto caster thing would get screwed over by interrupts and knockdowns and enchantment removers, not to mention times of recharge and ability point alterations(blessings, event items, other skills). Autocasting every X seconds would take a good bit of coding, and then tremendous coding to work around blatantly obvious flaws, some of which you mentioned(amount of energy)

So you would have a buff which would automatically re-cast when/if it expired, because it was put into this box?

What if your down to limited energy and needing every drop to cast a very big spell, and your timing it exactly, and just as your about to do that....

...your buff runs out, or its removed and is auto-cast and uses up what little energy you had left, and completely throws your sync out?

Its a noval idea, but it would actually add to the micro-management, because you would still have to know when/if your buffs expired, so you knew when you were about to have energy drained from you.

Its better as it is, because then we can re-cast buffs when we know we can afford to and it wont impact anything else.

Maybe increase buffs times accross the board, so we dont need to keep casting them. Then we just have to worry about people removing enchantments.

I would agree for a Buff countdown to assist you in learning the times for recast and such (maybe in the tutorial), but not auto.. It just makes it TOOO easy. and hell anet is trying to make a HARD mode after all because GW is just becoming too easy already... Then again any MMO or RPG has always been too easy after a certain period of time...

The issue about whether GWs is getting easier is one those long standing debates that will continue. I personally think its got harder.

Anyway. I like the idea of having a counter on the buff, because its too much micro management to sit there counting or guessing. I dont think a counter on the echantment makes anything harder. If anything, it would make people more efficient.

But im still/not signed about making them auto-recast

There are maintained skills...

But it could be fine for Heroes...
Alt-Click the skill and the horo will try to keep the enchantment in the current target as many time as possible...

Man, I feel so dumb when I read this idea. This is a briliant idea, it will make the game become the boriest game in ONLY 1 month, maybe? or less? WoW

I have played a game that allow you to AUTO HEAL. OMG just download it for 30 min, I quit the game lawl! Better make a BOT to play it for you! Like you dont even TOUCH the keyboard and only need to watch the monitor until you FALL ASLEEP. Wat an idea!

/of course you know
