This weekend event .....

.....may have been good for ANet and for many wanting access to FoW and UW, but my weekend entertainment was destroyed. I would log on, try to change district or town and get error 007 or 019. If I stayed right where I was, I would freeze for minutes at a time. It would take 5 minutes to run from gate in LA to storage. Great weekend for me, NOT.

Do any of the Devs play/test things on a dialup modem? Cable and DSL is not available where I live. Some consideration for us on dialup would be appreciated. Can't say I quit, have too much money tied up in 3 chapters and some extra character slots, but these 'special' weekends, just are no longer playable for me.

yeah, this weekend was ridiculous. i err=7ed 5 times in half an hour and im on a cable connection.

for every person that had something negative happen, you'll find another that didnt have any problems at all. i didnt err07 once all weekend, and didnt notice any lag more than normal, and i spent ours in UW and popping in and out of towns and districts. i didnt even rubberband once while doing my runs, which usually does happen from time to time during normal runs, let alone during an event.

just because you had some lag or DC's, doesnt mean its ANETs fault or that its the weekend that caused it.

I'm sorry that you had such troubles, but there was no question in this thread, and as we don't allow whinge/whine threads in the Q&A forum..
