walking prophecy
Steps Ascending
Did any ever thought (and did) prophecy without doing any missions accept the needed one? I've been thinking about restarting yet another character to try this, that would mean not doing any missions and fighting through everything.
The only missions that would be needed would be sanctum cay, ThK, maybe ascension and iron mine of moladune (i'm not sure if i'll really want to infuse in the explorable).
So anyone tried this?

No, and I wouldnt see the fun of it. Having to fight lvl 20 creatures as a lvl 5 doesnt sound very appealing to me, but good luck

You could easily get a few guildies to run it for you. All the missions, only THK and the RoF missions are "needed" to get to the end of the game.

You probably misunderstood me, probably my fault.
I don't mean to run everything, i mean (and still don't know if i'll do it) to fight my way through everything instead of using the missions to teleport from one place to another.

yeah i did it on my monk for fun (did all the quests at each outpost too.) it was pretty fun, and you see a LOT of cool stuff when you do it too
you miss a lot when you only mission it through places. well i did at least

You are essentially moving in a fashion of a cartographer, but not trying to open the whole map. Honestly, you could skip the whole Lion's Arch and just get a run to Droks from Beacon's Perch, then proceed from there to Granite Citadel or do the Ironmines mission to get infused, then fight or get a run to THK, then do that mission.
From there on, you have to do all the other missions, but you can skip roughly 3/4 of the game. How fun is that,I'm not sure, but to each his/her own.

it seems that everyone isnt reading what the op said, he said FIGHT THROUGH the campaign.. so umm lets see unless you fight up to droks, it was fun for me to fight all the way through its interesting to see what else the developers put in, and well when you see some of the waterfalls and such around the denravi area, its well worth running around and fighting your way to places.

I'd have to say the fight to droks will be the hardest part of your campaign (unless you don't infuse and try to fight mursaat...). You're stuck with crappy level 12 henchmen, and your party size is 6. Doable, but it's going to be tough even at level 20 because you won't have any elites...

So anyone tried this? If you did Sanctum Cay, unless you intended to do some Desert Quests and then fight to Droknar's FOrge from Beacon's Perch you would have to do all 3 desert mission towns, followed by Augury Rock AND Dragon's Lair...
Also you don't need Iron Mines for infusion - you can do that at the top of Mineral Springs.

Yeah Mineral Springs is a great spot to get infused... just try to get there.
Nah, supposedly u start a new character, work it up to level 20, without doing missions. You can get your Infuse in Mineral Springs and you can get to THK town without doing previous missions. After that, only all the Fire island missions are obligatory. So only 4 missions to complete the game.
You might not need infusion if you have the acces to lvl 20 monk heroes. Just set them up with Healers Boon and Holy Haste, which can outheal the damage from Spectral Agony. But it can drain them dry very fast, so carefull with long battles. Basically it makes all their healing skills have the same speed as Infuse Health.

Also you don't need Iron Mines for infusion - you can do that at the top of Mineral Springs. Yes I would probably do the ascension missions and Dragon's lair to get to droks. As for infusion, getting to mineral springs to get infused would probably be the most fun, but knowing myself I wouldn't have the patience and would enter moladune and maybe not finish it unless i'm with a PUG.
Too bad I'll have my hands full with my current characters.
