Nice waste of an elite. Also why the hell make a build for a mission that requires an elite you cap on that mission only!

you dont need greater conflagration for anything

You don't need it, but it's moderately useful for Hell's Precipice (which is what the build is for), and killing the Drought (Conflag., Winter, Spinal Shivers).

Well considering it converts ALL physical damage to fire, which then gets converted by Winter along with other elemental damage, so you deal extra damage to the Fire Weak Titans. It works wonders.
It can also work to your favor if members of your party have Fire resistant armor, or Water resistant armor when combined with Winter resulting in less damage taken.

Yep, you're right. But personally when I take my ranger to that mission i prefer to use Poison Arrow instead, also due to [**SPOILERS**] Rurik and the Lich [**SPOILERS**]

greater conflag+winter makes every damage ever deal double to:
1-fire imps
2-hand of the titan
3-fist of the titan
and i think those risen ashen things
and for kindle arrows:
21 extra fire damage (cold dmg wen conflag is up)
which means 42 extra damage (doubling effect)
with dual shot, it is +84 dmg... correct me if im mistaken

there are more challenging missions out there...
Dunes of Despair... Thunderhead Keep... if you want to have a challenge try to kill all the mursaat in the ice caves mission... the mob that gets killed by the missiles...
prophecies last mission is a breeze

Yeah, that's true, a bit of a disappointment it was. Would be a shame to make it even easier with tricks like Greater Conflagration and Winter.

prophecies last mission is a breeze if you call that a challenge..lol.
the build; with an organized team, you might just take elemental weapons & kick your elite. that way, youll have a nice elite spot left with more or less the same result - i guess with PUG groups it works fine though.
i dont see the point in serpents quickness. id also take out the hardrez, because it doesnt belong on a rangers bar?:S
so..pug build:
GC, Winter, Kindle, Dual, Savage, D-Shot, Troll, Rez sig imo
for organized stuff id take GC out for hmm..poison arrow I'd guess.

Rangers and Rebirth go hand in hand all R/Mo should have it. Serpents Quickness allows Dual shot to recharge must faster allowing for an increased rate of damage. Which greatly increases the rate of damage which comes in handy when taking now the mobs of those Nasty little imps

i just gave examples... right now prophecies is way to easy for me

with dual shot, it is +84 dmg... correct me if im mistaken So does Winter and Kindle Arrows... it also has the bonus of not wasting an elite slot. Why not take Toxicity, it'll be just as useless, been as the only regular foe not immune to it is the Spark and they should die quickly.... not degen.
1 thing... no interrupts? Shadow of Fear is the second most irritating hex i've ever seen.... the first been Faintheartedness. And yeah... SQ is useless. it expires when you get below 50% health, things like to spike on HP.

I meant to lure 1 group.... instead lured all 12 ^^ Oddly enough it was the only fight i'd been in that entire trip vs Mursaat that Alesia DIDNT die in.

winter and kindle does double dmg for you alone. gc+winter is double damage partywide. with some nukes, thats a lotta dmg!!!
also, serps quickness is for spirits!!! ~Polynikes anshin

All elite spirits have a 30 seconds recharge... and winter... place it at the very back of the battlefield and it will last for two mins or so... sorry... but this just isn't good enough... Polynikes of Sparta
[skill]Greater Conflagration[/skill][skill]Winter[/skill][skill]Kindle Arrows[/skill][skill]Dual Shot[/skill][skill]Distracting Shot[/skill][skill]Savage Shot[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill] OR [skill]Mending Touch[/skill][skill]Rebirth[/skill]
better? ~Polynikes moko
much ;o

Considering it still involves the elite 'Greater Conflagration' no.
Polynikes of Sparta
ROFL, evilsod, its a PUG build. u cant count on everyone to have a spare elemental weapon by their side jeez!!!! and any skill that can potentially double damage during a whole mission is better than any dam barrager.
~Polynikes Evilsod
Right... its a pug build... using an elite you cap on the mission. The only way that elite would get onto my skillbar is if it replaced a Signet of Capture at some point during the mission.
CDittric77
^I agree with Polynikes. Having PuGged this several times it's a useful combination. When people who don't understand the value of Greater Conflag moan, I don't set it up and they see how much less damage they do. It's fulfilling to see them come around and apologizse
Polynikes of Sparta
@Evilsod: You can just cap it before the mission. Get a Henchmen party and the boss isn't too far through the mission. Then go back and get a PUG for M/B.
@CDittric77: Thank you. ~Polynikes Corpselooter

@CDittric77: Thank you. ~Polynikes I think evilsod means, take an elite and a cap sig, cap GC during the mission and voila, 2 elites, both useful. |
