Do you play in 1st person
Brandon1107
This is more of a general question because I was wondering if anyone ACTUALLY plays in first person. I don't for many reasons but I tried it out and its pretty cool looking form your characters point of veiw.
Holy Arch

For half a year probably I didn't even know I could go into first person. When I found out I could, I changed just to see what it was like, then switched back, haven't done it again since. Yes, it was interesting, but I prefer to see when an assassin stabs me in the back.

If I play in first-person, it's most probably in an exploration part (realm of torment and dwarven mining facilities are incredible in first-person) or with a ranger during some fights (you actually see your bow getting into position and firing). Some (very) rare spell casting animations are also visible in first-person.
But over-all First-person is there for screenshots.

Can you please enlighten those of us who don't know how to switch, how to do it?
Thank you.

Default controls are : mouse scroll up (or down, not sure) untill you zoom inside your char's head.

Oh I see, that. Thought it was something more sophisticated

First person view gives me a headache. I have to keep my camera zoomed completely out while I play, or it bugs me.

Yes every now and then mostly just to get a good view at places where the 3e persson kamera dosent moved the way as you want.

I sometimes roll into 1st person just for the novelty - but not usually when I'm doing missions and questing. It just makes it harder to see what is going on around you. I guess when you get used to having the camera zoomed out it is a bit like playing with blinkers on.
Certainly gives a whole new perspective on the game though.
