Well that's kinda silly.

No it isn't. Your name is your identity in the game. It's how your friends and guildmates know you are you. Scammers would be changing their names everyday if they implemented something like that.

Just take a little extra time when you first create your character and be sure you have a name you like before investing a lot of time and gold in the character.

No, THIS is silly:

My name is Sandra. No, it's Susan. No wait, it's Sally. Nope, Debrah. Oh wait, my name is Carol. Oooh, my name is Chaniqua.
