Question for ya'll.
This will sound a bit weird but...due to the passing of my real life grey I'm looking for a special commission which includes him in place of my stalker. I'm not sure if I want him with my ranger, him with other pets, or him with mini's (yeah, I'm a bit indecisive lately). Here's the question...am I better off posting a "looking for special commission" thread or having a contest and seeing what the talented artists here at guru can come up with?

I am an animal lover bordering on pure insanity. Our house is more of an animal sanctuary than anything else. At one point we had 5 dogs, now we have 3 and double digit cats. They are all rescues, either we found them or got them from a shelter.
If your ranger is your favorite character, I would go with that. I would also suggest that you ask for the highest resolution possible, because you can get the drawing printed on poster size photo paper for around 15 dollars,
a 20X30, which you can then frame and hang up as a tribute to your pet. I'm sure there are lots of places where you can do this, but this is where I have been printing some of our commissions, and they look AMAZING

Our bedroom is quickly filling up with some amazing talent. You can also get a T-Shirt, Mouse pad, mug... name it... they have it.

These are the latest pieces I've got...
A new version of My ranger and pet by Starr the Insane, with a background change. I love the humor of having my ranger teach Buffalo how to use a bow.
Both our rangers by Eela. I love her style and love the drawing. It's tender and sweet. Another amazing drawing by a very talented artist. This was the first commission she did with 2 characters, and what a fine job she did.
And these are our pets, again a first for Eela, and another fine job. I love it.
These are 2 versions of the same drawing by Morag D. The First one was called Friends 'til the End, and my ranger and pet were depicted on our final sleep. The emotions I felt when I saw it are hard to describe. As much as I loved the picture, I felt so terribly sad looking at Buffalo, that I asked Morag to please make us sleep as in resting by adding a dream bubble over Buffalo. Now I see that the little butthead doesn't dream about me, he dreams with FOOD!!!
I also started thinking that I seriously need therapy

take care Thanks for the suggestions. We're a bit the same way here only we seem to have gone for exotics; 4 ratties, 2 rabbits, 1 chinchilla, and we adopted a new greyhound last week. She's not a replacement for Lance, but she has already worked her way into our hearts.

I've felt a bit of push for some OGAWC gatherings, so I was thinking maybe we could set up not just a single date for activities, but a constant. Something like every Sunday, 2pm PST, or Mondays at 6:30pm, or something like that [not those times exactly, just examples]. If you guys wanna leave what times are best for you, I'll try to sort something out.
