well, let's start with the first ever piece that anyone ever painted for Ala:
this gorgeous cel-shaded art by Nian <3
I love the haunted look of loneliness/sadness (which Ala covers up by appearing chirpy) ~
ravensong then created a series of drawings; there is so much detail and expression in these pictures, especially considering how fast he works~!
~ <3 action poses, and this one is in pencil done on yellowed paper so gives an aged effect, as if she were illustrated in a book
I then asked him to draw Ala (in photoshop), minus the cuteness~!
.. he did not one, but three versions, and Ala came out looking suitably menacing :}
I recently commissioned the cartoonist Fernando Serrano, he is a great guy and I had fun going over the pieces in my mangled Spanish~!@
.. the first I saw of his work was of modern or futuristic themes, so I thought, why not have some fun with that idea~?

I have been toying with the idea of having this coloured .. but would that mess with the lovely shading he's done~?
here she is again, in colour this time ~ and with probably her most aggressive pose/expression to date
now Alacrity rarely gets mad but if this is what she's like, I'd hate to be the one to provoke her ..

actually, I never entailed seeing Ala unclad - altho I wanted an action pic, that nawty artist presented me with a sketch I could not resist; just had to have him ink & colour it as punishment~!
~ and so the corruption begins ..

There are some really great works here, and form a great 'shopping list' for future comissions. It's kinda a shame the list of active artists who will draw for GW money is kinda shrinking, but hopefully it's just a glitch.
