Lightbrigner title not working on minions and some necro spells?
SkyHiRider
It seems that the lightbringer title does not affect sommoned minions and some necro spells like Spiteful spirit or price of failure. This is unfair to the necromancer class that it doesnt get the full benefit of the title. So i wonder if Gaile or any other Anet person is reading this, pls can you fix it
Patrick Smit
bacause technically u are not doing the damage, but the hex (and the hexed one are doing doing the damage. The hex doesnt carry the lightbringer title, so therefore damage is unaltered. Nothing wrong with that. They never said minions would carry over the title either.
There is really nothing to fix.

mesmer hexes like backfire deal increased dmg so i thought that ss should deal increased dmg too... And as for the minions, you make em so they should technically be effected by the title..

I can see his point, though. If you are running MM, then (nearly) all of your damage is being done by your minions. The LB title has very little benefit to a MM build, besides protecting the master a very tiny amount and allowing them to take LB gaze. Then again, the LB title doesn't do much for non-smite monks, restoration rits or motivation paragons, either. The main benefit of the LB title is the increased dmg and, without thinking about it too much, it seems like an MM build is the only offensive build that doesn't benefit from that bonus. +5% dmg per level from each minion might be too much, though. Maybe +1% dmg per level?
SkyHiRider
Not only the +5% dmg benefit but also the reduced dmg which does quite a bit for a mass of minions. And +5% dmg isnt as much when you attack lvl 28 margonites which have high armor and take half the normal dmg...

Well... for armor ignoring skills should ne be a problem... but when armor comes into the play... lightbringer should work.
It already affect your heroes.
Why not your minions, that most of the time die in one hit, when you need dozens of them to take down an enemy?

Do not forget that the title doesn't work on some hexes too. If mesmer hexes have increased dmg then so should the necromancer hexes.
BSSuperman
The damage is being done by the minions, not by the necromancer who controls them - If you were to start wanding the hell out of those margos you'd see a difference . . . . maybe.
As far as SS goes, its armour ignoring damage - stop complaining.

mesmer has armor ignoring dmg too and it works. I know that hes weak in pve but still... And thats a great idea with the wand, time to take frenzy into action
Gargle Blaster
all Mesmer hexes do not get the light bringer bonus -- ineptitude and clumsinesses for example

Well... it is supposed that Holy damage is armor ignoring too... but lightbringer signet says it deals holy damage... and does not ignore armor, light "Light" damage weapons... maybe they should change it so it deals 'Light' and not 'Holy', but it just a terminology problem...
Hm... each skill is a world, here... too many exceptions...

Holy dmg is not ignoring. Most skills that deal holy dmg are, but it is the skill that ignores armor, not the dmg type.
MithranArkanere
Sorry, but that is 'chaos' damage.
