Cartographer progress being reversed?

I apologize if this has already been covered somewhere else, the search function is not currently working correctly for me.

Has anybody had a problem with mapping an area, then later losing the progress? I can't sit and map continually for hours and days, as I get too bored if I do that so I map when I get the urge. Awhile ago, I mapped from Lion's Arch, over to Beacon's and up and through everything all the way to Yak's Bend. I come back tonight and start mapping once again to discover that all of this area is refogged.

Now, I'm not mistaken. I'm not just crazy. I didn't think I did it and mapped another area, I didn't do it on another character. I specifically remember it happening. I remember the heroes and henchies I took to do it. I remember some drops I got. It took me several hours to do, so it's quite frustrating. But more than that, just plain confusing.

Checking over my progress in Cantha and Elona, none of it has been reversed. No other areas of Tyria have been reversed either, it's just that one area between LA and Yak's.

This has never happened to me, I know you said you are sure that it was on that char but it sounds to me like it was a different character. I'd say do a part of it again and see what happens.

My monk lost an uncompleted mission, Gates of Kryta, but retained Lions Arch. I couldn't figure this out but it happened around the time of some weekend update.

um, i remember during some weekend update my rit got alot of exploration which she had done that day, reversed, but i thought nothing of it as it was a small area, also i had quite abit of lag, so ya never know.,.

Hmmm this never happend to me...maybe anets playing another april fool joke lol. Unless the rolled back the server like they did that one time when the rune prices dropped low lol. But they would have said so if they did.
