I hope to god they don't. I like healing myself with spells not wasting money on potions.

Ah, yes, the proverbial icing on the cake. The final nail in the coffin. The straw that broke that poor, poor camel's back...

By all means, if we have to be out there grinding for levels, let's do it with a full backpack full of goldsink healing potions that we have to stop and quaff continually between fights!

Down with the transparent, worry-free system we have at the moment! It's for noobs.

Up with a system where we can beat ANY monster, as long as we've spent enough gold on potions, beforehand.

I just hate being able to go out and fight stuff without having to endlessly perform repetitive tasks for simple maintenance, like healing.

Hey! Let's add weapon and armor repair, too! That'll make the game flow ever so much better.

Man... I need to go eat. I think I'm officially getting "sarcastic". ^_^

Yeah, Rhedd, you seem to be getting all upset over things that aren't even rumored to exist. I guess it would be a cruel joke to also mention that GW2 will also have rocket-launchers that shoot Pokemon balls. Maybe you'd like to ponder that and get upset about it, too?

Do we really need more threads on what GW2 may or may not have? This is really getting out of hand.

If you think Guild Wars has gold sinks, well, none of them can hold a candle to red and blue "Kool-Aid" in other RPGs.

My Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege 2 characters must have swigged down tens of thousands of health and mana potions over the course of their lives. It was always a pain in the ass when you ran out of them mid-fight. Potions are the ultimate gold sink... and I hope I never see them again.

What's wrong with Pokemon ball shooting rocket launchers?

I always wondered what kind of effect the exessive consumption of all those red and blue liquids has on your digestive system. Since you drink an Exon Valdez of them, i expect a chemical breath, flatulence, endless pee breaks and very liquid droppings.

I think i just take Alesia.

No potions please. The one in Factions was enough.

Potions are something that still kind of make sense in console RPGs, but I'd really hate to see them in GW. I don't want my character chugging down suspicious liquids that may or may not do good.

Please no potions. Classic RPG's use potions, which at the time I was an avid classic RPG player. When Guild Wars came out, professions such as the Monk where to only source of healing, this idea I liked.

Can someone say auto-potion FTW?

I hope not too. I still remember mu online.. you could buy hundreds of potions and you even didn't have to click on them 'cuz they were used automatically whenever your hp dropped too low. =P
Potion gold sink ftl =/

I bet there did be many that will pay 100k + XXX ectos for that!

We already have Monk Heros, thats better than any amount of healing pots you can buy/carry. So NO.

No, I think GW needs a lot more Pokemon balls! ^_^

I did say I needed to sleep more and post less. ^_^

In defense of my original post, however... Better safe than sorry.

The most common argument I hear in favor of all of the new features announced for GW2 is, "They're doing what the fans asked for! That can't be bad!"

After some of the things I've heard about GW2 recently, I've given up guessing what will be taken seriously and what won't.

Best to give an opinion on every fan suggestion, instead of trusting Anet to know a good one from a bad one.

You're right, though. We do not need more threads about GW2. I remember when this forum was actually about a game we all played.

I forsee a Potion Drinker title! >.<

I hope not though, potions are a crappy mechanic just like durability.

They're both just time consuming, gold sinking, uneeded maintenance systems.

Hello, I'm a regular forum crawler, but luckily, I know everything about guild wars 2. I stole some sekrit information, and I know everything, so I will answer all your questions. Actually, everybody on this forum knows all the details on GW2, but you, but they're not posting it.

Dude. Nobody knows ANYTHING AT ALL about GW2. How the **** are we supposed to know whether there will be potions?
