"Spacing Out Spirits"
Polynikes of Sparta
something on GuildWiki says that spirits of Pain have to be spaced out or else the older one dies. does this mean u can have more than one pain spirit on the ground??? i always thought the older one always die no matter if they were spaced out or not... how far is this spacing anyway? i want to have 3 pains on the ground!!! lol, does anyone know about this? heres the article:

I think you need to place them out of spirit range (i.e the range of union etc) from eachother.

I think it is or was true with ranger spirits at least, but they have to be spread by at least the WHOLE of the radar if not more to work which is useless in any setting.

This weekend I noticed this when I was going down the spider cave in the FoW. I saw 3 green dots (spirits i am assuming) in a line in my radar bubble. I was using bloodsong as my spirit, and I am guessing that the spacing was a little bigger than your agro bubble. This is unconfirmed and I am just going on memory. I also had a ranger with me dropping favorable winds so i could be wrong. I did not run back to see if it was my spirit. You can easily test this in an explorable area.

You can drop a second of any spirit without killing the origional as long as you drop it out of range, which is the same size as your radar.

This is the same for all spirits.

think it's less than radar actually. because I can drop a spirit and still see the old on radar. I dunno the exact minimum range it needs to be though, Guess I have a project tonight.

it is the orangecolored range... as long as its away from that, u can have as many spirits as u want... i dont know if i would call it an advantage though.

basically, spirit range is about half of your radar range. But, tbh, since pain isn't gonna do shit half a radar range away from the action, this technicality is just that, a technicality. It has very little practical use. Same with union, shelter, etc. not only does the spirit have to be OUT of the other's range, but it has to be IN yours, making this whole point pretty much moot

Can't you get a second pain spirit by using Anguished was Lingwa (sp?) I know you could a long time ago....

Yes you can have another Pain spirit up as long as your half radar range away fro mthe old one. The only 2 spirits i know you can do this with is Bloodsong and Pain. I only ever do this for example in RA on some maps you can create sentries around the map, so say there was a runner they'd always run into the spirits along their path, meh it adds to damaging the runners. I remember once my team managed to get one runner down to mnimal health but then they activiated running skills and got away, but the sentries actually killed them off since running past them was unavoidable.

AwL's spirit of pain will kill ur already-there spirit of pain unless its out of range.
