The thing is EU is not just 1 nation. UK, Italy, Germany and the rest of them are in it. You can't really expect a brit gamer to care if a french gamer can or can't go to FOW & UW, can you? The same thing could be said about USA & Cannda.

So if favor had no effect beyond the "x' team has won the hall of heroes and keeps/will earn the favor for" message, would it change how often you play HA ?

And how exactly do you know this ?
My intent with the OP was to find out if individual posters cared about favor, not if they thought that other players cared or not. From the responses I see that there are five reasons people HA:
- They enjoy it.
- They want the loot for winning HoH.
- They are earning fame.
- They want their/their guilds name in the victory announcement for all to see.
- They want to earn favor for their region.

To me most of the responses here are people picking from a combination of the first 4 with the 5th option being, at best, just something to make the win a bit more pleasurable.

Which brings up another question. What was the difference between the number and quality of players in HA between a typical weekend and the free UW/FoW access weekend ?

Wrong! I am near rank 7, and I don't care and never will care about the favor. Not entered UW/FoW in months (excluding the special weekend), I am not really interested in FoW armor; Some 15k are better for me, even I like some 1k armor more than FoW ones.

Idea: ArenaNet must add more expensive armors like the FoW one; They could use the Diamonds for that! (as expensive as FoW one)
