GW:EN Pre-order Question
NinjaKai
I've been wondering. Since this is the last release for GW1. Will the pre-order item be more special than the past ones. For example will there be weapons for each profession. Or special pre-order armor. Though I get the feeling it may be the former than the latter.

i could'nt see them having any pre orderng bonuses for an expansion as such. Chapter fair enough, its a whole section of the game, but for an add-on, the contents will be more than enough.

First of all, Interviews are saying that they haven't decided if they will or will not release any further expansions for GW1.
I don't know about pre-order specials, but perhaps there will be a Collector's Edition. I will pre-order either way... But if there is a Collector's Edition, I would be quite pleased...
I have no problem spending an extra $10-20 for a Collector's Edition. I like knowing that the extra money is helping fund a no-monthly-fee gaming experience.
Despite the disappointingly low print quality of the mouse pads, calendars and artbooks, I really enjoyed the in-game extras. Special dances are entertaining and the Factions CE minipet was really great (Nightfall not so much). CE/PreOrder weapons are great, but I wouldn't really like a CE armour set (to me, this demeans the other armour sets in the games, which are not so easily obtained).
I don't know, I've always been a fan of Collector's Editions that extras to those who care for them.

No new classes = no real need for new items to encourage play of the new classes. Who knows though, maybe they'll suprise us.

I think there will be both a pre-order and a CE. I don't think ANet's new marketing dept. would pass up the chance to generate income.
What will be included? - In-game items, the options are endless; CE items quality should increase with a marketing budget. (Do you think they can fit a T-shirt in the box?)

Personally I would like that trilogy demo DVD in the expansion box.
Why you ask?
Well the demo is just the key right?
And we all have our own keys already, So what does that trilogy DVD become for us then?
Yep thats right, a 1 disc installation that is the equivalent of a GW.exe -image reload on 1 disc. So if you have to reload sometime. (Lets face it, prob every one of us has had to at least once since the beginning.) You would then have the option to use one disc with minimal updates on that installation, instead of a potential 3 discs with several updates from installation. Or a Long freaking download with GW.exe -image. Just saves time and bandwidth...
IDK about you guys, but I have been asking for that demo disc every time I walk into Bestbuy. I really want one just for that reason alone...
If they are smart they will make the case for the expansion one of those larger 2 disc cases with the Demo DVD included, and the expansion cd in position 1. And have the case big enough to hold all 4 game manuals...
After all we don't ever need our key again once its applied to our account. EVERY GAME SHOULD BE THIS WAY!!!! I swear!!! This is the absolute BEST concept in gaming ever. Hell I have gone over to a friends place played it there with my account and no big deal (indeed thats what got him to buy an account himself cause he liked what he saw and I gave him my friend pass to try it out).. he in turn can play his on one of my computers with no problem (instead of him lugging his over here)... Its great. When I travel, my laptop has it on there and I play as well as when at home, and my family can still play at home on a separate account I have for them. Different installs Same Accounts... Never a Product Key to be seen again!! That is so cool!!!
