with GW:EN or right now would be even better. All hero parties and lose henches (if we choose to) this way we have no chance or rage quiters, the monk being disconnected, we know what builds everyone is taking. It makes those of us who tend to run alone able to do more in the game.

This would also be a boon to the more "casual" gamer who may not be able to grind as much as some of us. It would not cause unbalance because it would be like running with players on all quest missions.

so I will start this with my...

GW is supposed to be a community game. removing that would make it even less of an MMO. U have to deal with things like ragequitters and disconnectors, but ur supposed to interact with people around the world, nonono x100.

Hm... the main complain hero detractors have is that they may make the game more like a 'single player' game.

Well... you must admit that Heroes are usually better than average players (and they could be even better, considering they have already tuned down their IA)

I have no need for a complete Hero party, when I have to do something alone, I get the 4 Henchmen that best fit my profession, and then fill the gaps with heroes.

But another player with 3 heroes is sometimes (not always) better than a full IA party, and since just another player will do, is easier to find a partner.
THat's why they limited heroes to 3 players, so people can make 2+6 parties.

The way it is allows for people that want to play single player an easier time, but also still promotes grouping with others to get better players than henchmen. What would the point of henchmen be if we could just have all heroes? It would just be filler until players get the heroes, or just for those that don't want to buy NF and EN for the heroes.

This game is an online multiplayer game. It should stay focused on that. Making it too much single player just ruins the game. If you want to play by yourself without worrying about disconnects, idiots, etc, then play an offline single player game. The point is now you can either "play it safe" with generally weaker allies and take henchmen and heroes (they can be powerful/helpful, yes, but generally their AI still keeps them from being as effective as a player), or "take a risk" for smarter allies and pick players. It's fine the way it is.

I don't really like heroes, but as long as each person can only bring 3 max then I can deal with it.

i enjoy guild wars but i play a sin as my primary and no one wants to party with them. Mesmers seem to be in the same boat. Not everyone wants to play with other people but still love the game. I was in party doing Ring of Fire and we had two idiots talking the whole time about how great the weed they smoked was. Personally I dont give a damn what you smoked. This and the high level of noobs is why i hero hench everything i can. But, more heros would make certain areas alot easier.

Or just make henchmen not suck. That would help too.

imo u should know how to control ur henches...before heroes were introduce there wasnt any prob in finishing any game with henches..regardless of the expansion..so i think the problem is with you.

try to learn to run when ur in danger or use ur 2nd profession if you think your character dies too much.dont be a meat tank since ur an assasin.

I'm actually going to /sign this.

And this is coming from a dedicated PUG player, if there is humans looking to do a mission, 90% of the time I'll go with that rather than doing it the hero/hench-way. Even if I know I could do it quicker and easier on my own. Just because humans are more fun, or well... have the potential to be a lot more fun than AI. Some aren't.

But the truth it, since nightfall and the introduction of heroes, there rarely is for most of the game. If we're talking about things like some parts of Maguuma, since I'm taking my Paragon through proph. There rarely even is any other living player in the district during the times I usually are online.

So I'm signing this, because, well... I don't like having to choose between Olias and my little pony (Zhed) and I'd be kind of neat to get the less used ones out of the dustjacket occationally. WIth only being able to take three, well that just don't really happen unless there's a required hero.
But I've got ten of them there heroes, why shouldn't I fill up the whole party with them, if I'm not playing with other humans anyhow?

Im all for this. Or at least give us the option to customize the henchie skill/attribute bars. I still play with human players but I'd like the option to have an all hero team during those late nights and when I just want to have fun building an entire team.

And notice the unsigned crowd only posted one liners with no real explainations or attempts to derail the topic with insults such as "u must suck if u need 7 heroes. lol!" while the signed crowd have articulate posts?

Signed.

I cannot see what business it is of mine how you want to play. Play and let play is my motto. You want to use Heros go ahead. I find it easier to partner with one person I trust and we both us heros. A bit from both sides of the question. But there have been times when it would have been easier to use all heros because I was alone. It's a big big game, I think there is plenty of room for everyone to play how they see fit. Some even like to to PvP, and you can never explain that to me but I'm happy to let them. I do hav a hard time with every one trying to dictate how everyone else should play.

/signed. We're going to have 25 heroes once GW:EN comes out, so only being able to use 3 at once is somewhat of a waste...

I wonder if you can make it so you have 3 *controllable* heroes, and then have the rest be *uncontrollable* heroes. As in, you won't have a control panel for them. (you'd still customize them in town with equips/skills/etc, but they wouldn't have the same amount of control as having "the main three")

I say this because when playing with another person, if that person has heroes and leaves, their heroes stay. So, I was able to have me and 6 heroes. All you need to someone to party with te heroes you want, enter the zone with you, and then they map off and do their own thing while you abuse their heroes.

You people all fail to realize the population of GW1 is not only stretched thin right now, but when GW2 comes out it will be even worse.

You chose your poison, however, so good luck finding groups when everyone has left.
