This is actually pretty cute, though not as funny as I hope with the joke itself. But it sure was funny sitting in a district in Kamadan, Shing Jea Island, and Lion's Arch reading the local chat, something that I haven't enabled in quite some time. However, the purpose of April Fool's Day is to "fool" someone ... otherwise, it would have been called April Joker's Day.
Speaking of which, I just went in-game this morning to find this out and see what my characters would look like as males ... a couple look pretty queer-ish or really goofy, especially my Warrior and Assassin. My Ritualist, however, seems to be the less impacted.
Personally, I think my Ranger could probably pass off as Shiro Tagachi's brother. Although, I would have to dye the armor red instead of brownish-yellow for a closer effect.
I'll have to post screenshots when I get back. It just looks rather interesting looking at the same character as the opposite gender.

God I hate April Fools Day and it's things like this that make me hate it. No I don't have a sense of humor before anyone asks. They could have at least added a revert button for those of us who don't want our character's messed with, granted I'm probably the only one, but still not everyone enjoys April Fool's day junk and I wish they didn't force me to participate. I was going to play today but there goes that plan. At least I checked here first to save myself the aggravation. Thank god it is only for one day.

I do have a sense of humor, but this is something that goes beyond humor. A joke/gag is supposed to be something between friends where you all have a good laugh afterwards.
When I was in SWG their idea of april fools was to have mini dragons running around the starport that you couldn't kill. It didn't do anything and you didn't have to interact with them if you didn't like.
