Training old pet to Dire

I've read all the articles i can find, but they all seem to be about training a new pet. My pet is an old lvl 20 Phoenix, and I assume it's Elder by now..how long does it take to get to Dire ?

If it's Elder already, it will never evolve any further.

only new pets will evolve. your phoenix will be the evolution its at forever.

ok...thanks..next question...can Hero pets be changed ?
