Well I'll just get started without much B.S.
Ok, I'm in a large guild([SMS]) and we have people on different servers(ea, ad) and we cant really do UW or FoW together because the only way to access those places is for you country to have favor. Now this all reallies on PvP. I think it is time for a change. Because this is just rediculous. These places are elite places but so is DoA, and in DoA you dont need to pay 1k to get in. I frankly dont think PvP should effect the PvE world. This is just the oppinion of a sleepy dude though lol but I now alot of people agree with me on this matter.

There's only 2 things where PvP affects PvE. HA/favor to uw/fow, and alliance battles to faction territory line/town control. The AB-line is reasonable. So I'd consolidate your suggestion to favor-uw/fow only.
A better suggestion would be when your region has favor, you don't pay 1k (or some other pricing scheme).

yeah forgot about factions because I never play it lol...yeah but with favor and UW/FoW something does need to be done...like a pricing scheme like you say or whoever has favor gets better drops or something. but limiting access to these very popular places is rediculous.

I believe the reason for the favor requirement was originally to encourage PvE players to get into the PvP side of things. I actually kind of like the idea, it adds some connectivity between PvP and PvE. That being said, I also agree with you on this, but there are other ways that situations such as yours with your guild could be fixed other than removing the favor requirement. For example, being able to go to FoW/UW if the majority of your group has favor.
Also, I think it would be nice if there were a PvP reward/bonus for having favor, such as gaining double faction or something.

I believe there was a thread that said UW/FoW should be opened all the time but the ones that have favor can get better stuff.
But I can't agree with this because I have this little philosophy that if you don't like it, change it. That means, fight in the Hall of Heroes. You could potentially win... I almost won one (as in I fought in the final battle in HoH)... After that I've been on an extreme losing streak =/. Losing on the seconds battles... yeah...

The main thing that does suck, is that when pvp skills are deemed "over powered" they nerf them for both pve and pvp. I think they should find a way to nerf skills for pvp but let them stay the same/ change them to be not so imbalanced in pve, but not overly nerfed. Like in pve, does it matter if you can have over 10 minions? Not really because you'd kill yourself trying to keep them all healed. It was imbalanced for pvp because of minion factory builds with death novas and what not.
I don't know, it just sucks sometimes for pve players to get the shaft because their was some team or a bunch of people abusing xxx.
