...and not just so-called 'rude' words either. For instance RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO is also censored.

i just turn the censor off anyway. no matter how much time a company spends to block out words people shall always find a way. look at runescape :P

You can't turn it off! There is no option available to turn it off, rest assured that if there were the forum wouldn't be family friendly. You'd have people posting pure filth such as this.

RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO, and then ate it raw!

It's just another cult gamer euphemism, like 1337 or pwned etc.

Hehe. No it's not. It's a function of the forum software. A lot of other discussion forums display the same text when the filter picks up "forbidden" words or phrases. It's not just Guru forums, or gaming forums for that matter.

In game you can turn the chat filter off. In guru it really does not matter simply cause no one actually gets pissed enough to say anything worth censoring.
