if you want to do tombs, leave the barraging to the rangers and play a support build. Like this one, that I;ve had great success with.

Weapon of Fury
Splinter Weapon
Nightmare Weapon
Warmongers Weapon
Brutal Weapon (in case your orders nec falls asleep, which happens quite often, but I usually go with a guild group where we have a paragon replace the orders ^_^)
Vital Weapon
Bloodsong
Flesh of Flesh

Tried that, it was too boring LOL! But I do know what you are talking about, support works great as well just as you outlined.

Besides, I am noticing an RT/R with 14 points in channeling and 12 in marksmanship does just as much damage as the ranger primaries. Plus I get the benefit of having my next 5 shots splinter instead of the max 4 with a ranger primary (R/RT).

Wonder if increasing my attack speed with a ranger skill will help???

Don`t bother. The only Ranger skill that would help is Tiger`s Fury, and that requires several points, costs 10 energy, and doesn`t last long.

If this was for tombs, I`d take out Unguent.

Good point.

Will keep tweaking it ... at least it si a lot more fun to play with than a spirit spammer.

I have used a build similar for Tombs. I found I prefer weapon spell support more, however. It is fun to listen to all the ooh and aahs from the rangers not familiar with splinter weapon.

The build is solid, for those who have some problems keeping energy up in a b/p group I suggest you take Spirit Siphon. As long as the rangers keep their spirits up, you can barrage away just like if you had expertise.

I like to take Nightmare Weapon as my self heal whenever I do b/p as a rit. It is more risky but that is the fun of it.

Ive been using this build for a while and it rapes. Theres no problem in giving rit's a bow btw. they can still play support class between spiking mobs to death, and the necros really appreciate the pet. Really, the only support fellow rangers are interested in is having splinter weapon on them. There is no energy/time for doing more then that imo. I use spirit siphon in case my energy runs low and nightmare weapon to disable the effect of empathy, I let people with higher marksmanship put down spirits.

I would add

Warmongers Weapon

Wielders Strike (Nasty little spike on solo targets)

Max out channeling for the additional dmg on splinter and wielders strike

Good monk and nice zealous bow

If you have a standard Ranger Barrager coming with you. Have him take the spirit
