Elites in Pre searing

If i got a signet of capture from my guild hall, could i use it to capture the Barrage elite form Vatlaaw doomtooth? Is he too low a level?

You can't access guild hall from pre. But other than that, I'm not sure. I wonder if anyone did that while the guild hall glitch was happening =P.

Cant hit the guild at Presearing. Tried it before.

Last I checked, you can get pre-order weapons into presearing chars.

Yes you could cap it. IF you could go to GH

you could go to the hall during a glitch; many items and skills are now in being used in pre searing.

And people got banned for exploiting the glitch

I see no point if limiting presearing like that.Compared to noobisland and istan,its lamer,paper armor and limited skills.

But it is prettier It is supposed to be like that, frail and dreamworld-like. Having perfect weapons and elites would be...weird.

Anyway... if you cap it from Vaatlaw, ur not really in Pre anymore. You might as well get a run to LA and then Keineng after you killed him and cap some elites in Cantha when you are level 2... Dont see the point though.

He could have a capture signet...

There was a bug that allowed Guild Hall access & pre but Anet closed that bug a long time ago.

If you have a cap I say yes, but if your did not get the signet during the bug.. then no.

People got banned? seems a bit lame for a mistake Anet made.
If there is an exploit you just now ppl are gonna make use of it, it's not that they were hacking or using bots.

You are to report bugs and possible exploits, not to use them.

If you're careful, you and a friend can kill him in the trouble in the woods quest. Don't know if the version in that quest actually had the skill or not..

I could be wrong, but doesn't the cutscene trigger as soon as he dies? If so, it would be impossible to cap it, even with a cap sig.

If you used the exploit to buy Signets of Capture from your Guild Hall you could cap some skills, there are a handful of bosses in pre with skills not available any other way in pre-searing. I don't recall seeing any elite skills.

it only triggers automatically if everything around doomtooth is dead, if there is anything still alive it is about 10 seconds before the cutscene triggers

Vaatlaw also shows himself when your doing Devona's quest where you have to kill the grawl.

Yeah, I think this follows the same mechanics that the fight with Markis does - no cutscene until Markis and his Jades (in this case, Vatlaaw and the grawl) are all dead. Therefore, you could take down Vatlaaw first and cap him, IF you had a sig, which is impossible as far as I know.

Also, how long ago was the Guild Hall glitch? Remember, maybe it was around before you could buy services, in which case you could not get any skills anyway.
