need a quick favor please!

Hi all. My in-game name is X Trip X, and, I need a favor from anybody willing to help me out.

Yesterday, my PSU (power supply unit) on my computer decided it was time to die. So, obviously I am unable to turn my computer on, let alone, log onto guild wars.

If it wouldn't be too much to ask, can somebody please pm one of my guild members and let them know that I will not be on for 2-3 weeks at most.

Please PM one of the following:
- Prince Tristam
- Sir Vonida
- Kolin Fiendslayer

-- please just let them know that I posted on guildwarsguru and said that my PSU died and will not be signing on for several weeks.

I suppose its kind of a good thing, in a way... gets me away from my computer for a couple weeks, eh? Haha.

..then again... I think I would rather have my computer!

Aint there any warranty on stuff like that? You should have a new one pretty soon, but that might be dependant on your location.
I think the technical lifespan of those things should be at least 3 years, which I can't imagine your pc being older then that. If it died within the technical lifespan but outside the warranty, you still can make a legal claim for a new one or (partial) money refund. At least in most western countries.

Gl with it, cant let ur guildies know either, cos im at school.

- and yes, I am awaiting Alienware to send me a new PSU (i do not recommend anybody ever purchasing a computer from them, as it has caused nothing but problems!)
- also, if its not asking too much.. can somebody still try to PM one of my guild members i listed until their is some kind of reply?

Hey Trip i got the message and I will post in Guild status why you are gone.....im real pissed tho cuz its going to suck with you not around lol. SO HURRY UP! they got a new build on guildwars and there is a TON more storage i have 4 storages now and a materials storage also! but hurry up and get that thing fixed and tell me when you think you will get done and i will let the guys know.

Hi all, little update:

received the PSU from alienware yesterday.
- onsite tech called and said he would be out today after i get out of work
- yay! cant wait to devote hours upon hours to GW again!

I cannot say this enough. Alienware USED to be the optimal choice for any gaming machine, but, ever since Dell purchased the company it has gone to shi...well, you get the idea. The customer service is pathetic. The systems are POS' apparently (had the computer less than 1 year and already the PSU dies?)
The only thing I can respect is their tech support. Those guys know what they're doing. Anywho, I can't thank all of you enough for letting my guild know about my situation. Thank you all!
