So i was thinking about GW:EN and the fact that it takes place in the north, which probably means that fire would kick ass against alot of enemies and then i was thinking about the different fire attacks that rangers have(many of which i do really enjoy) and thought that i'd post my idea for another one.
they probably have all the skills planned out for GW:EN but just in case it's not set in stone yet, i thought i'd post my idea.
Name: Archers Fire {Elite}
Type: Preparation
Cost: 20 energy
Recharge, 30 seconds
Description: For 24 seconds your arrows deal + 5-15 damage and deal fire damage. If you use an bow attack skill your arrows cause burning for 1-3 seconds.
I tried to keep the damage bonus and burning duration low and the energy cost high so that it's not too overpowered. I guess the duration could be shortened but I personally prefer a more constant preparation to a more powerful but infrequent preparation like incindiary arrows.
what do people think?

Overpower ? Not at all.
In other words, BA ranger is better at skirmish and pressure.

yeah this actually is pretty underpowered. BA can at least use a freakin preparation.

Actually while somewhat balanced, this new skill is kinda meh when we already have incend. Two preparations that cause burning is kinda overkill. Incend + conflag and zomg you got fire arrows causing burning

If you ever want to check out glass arrows... this thing will need changing.
Also Power Shot plus burning is the equivalent to Burning Arrow, plus a +15 bonus to it. So essentially, it'll almost be like having Burning Arrow + Glass Arrows, both are elites.

You could say that elites are 'somehow' like two normal skills in one...
So this could be a nice way to get 4 skills in one slot...
Hm... better than a skill that does something that others already do, why not to make skills that do things that no skill does yet?
