Apart from the GW:EN hint, Anet has now clearly shown that we WILL see Gwen in GW:EN.

Simple enough. On the page about Gwen in the official wiki there is:

You are mistaking the "official" wiki for a wiki constructed by the devs. Inaccurate. Anyone write anything in the wiki, yourself included -- you can look at the history of an article to see who actually wrote a particular part of it.

That said, Gwen will be in GW:EN. There is a picture of teenage Gwen in the PC Gamer article about the new expansion.

You realise they basically told us in the magazine article right? We meet old people from Prophecies, and one was a girl that we know in Ascalon. There's only been one named girl NPC in Ascalon, to my knowledge.

well regardless, yeah gwen is definately going to be in GW:EN. Cause gaile said so She was talking about people confusing "GW:EN" and GW 2 and said "e.g. gwen appears in GW:EN but not in GW 2"

The OP isn't mistaking anything. The OP simply states that

Nowhere does it say that Anet or the devs wrote it. It says the Official Wiki, which it is - the logo in the top left corner of every page says Guild Wars Official Wiki. It's Official because it is hosted by Anet, but it is run by the community.

But, as said, the acronym GW:EN, the confirmation from Gaile, the picture in PCGamer all point in the direction that Gwen will be in Eye of the North...

(which makes me wonder... how far in the future is Eye of the North? 10 years? 15 years? 20 years? Will our characters be nearing retirement?)

My only question: Will I finally get to be able to use or sell all the Tapestries I've collected? And, on a related note, how come Flutes don't stack?

Oh, and chembaron, yeah I think she'll be a Hero. Hope so, anyway.



Well, anyone who believes anything without question is stupid. But just because it's on a Wiki, doesn't mean it's not true. According to one study, Wikis are actually more accurate than traditional encyclopedias (which cannot change to reflect current events, for one thing).

So, there are advantages and disadvantanges to using Wikis for information, as with all media.

Although yes it has been shown a few times already from different sources.

As has been stated, the mention in the wiki is not particularly reliable by sheer virtue of being in the wiki alone, but the information itself is reflected in the magazine articles, and has been talked about many times.
Even if that weren't the case, this has already gone noticed in the past.
