Making money...

I need to know how to make money easiest. Is it by making a runner (I'm only ever going to do kind of short runs, no the droks run) or a farmer? And if a farmer, which profession (or even build!)? (if I don't intend to go into the UW or FoW?)

Well, in my opinion, farming makes money a lot faster then running. Running is fairly limited in where you can do it(mostly in prophecies, none in Factions, and a bit in Nightfall). Some farming builds can be versatile enough for multiple areas so that you don't trigger the farming message.

I would suggest you check out the farming section in the campfire forum. There are a lot of different builds for different classes so you can find something that works to your playstyle.

In my experience, doing the ele UW farming build has made a good chunk of money for me in the last few weeks(over 150k playing 1-2 hours a night farming ectos), and I know you said no UW, but it is a good place to make money if your country has favor.

Trading will net you more money than either farming or running, if you pay attention and learn what to do.

Running is not just limited to where you can run but also WHEN.

If you log on in the more empty hours it'll be hard to make a plat.

ok i have kind of a crazy idea. do ab, (if you are kurz) and trade the faction points for amber at the faction rewards guy in HZH, then sell them to ppl for 500g each. its a hundred less than what you can buy them for so ppl will want to buy em.(had one guy pm me for em after about 6 posts) try selling em at HZH or the vasburg armory. ppl need amber there, so that is where your buyers are gonna be.

if your going to go that route, why not join a guild were they pay you to ff? guilds used to pay 5k per donation, seen recent guild spam for 3k, which is more than what you would make selling the amber, and you wouldnt have to spam the amber all the time.

Best in order for me: -

1. Trading
2. Running
3. Farming

get a great HA group, win HoH several times daily and you will have more money you could ever get by farming, running, etc. ...

get to altrum ruins on a ritualist/mesmer get VwK from luxon or kurzick side (delphic the vengeance seeker or bazzyr dustwing). just farm wardens for ages! a guy told me he got 500k in 2 days of farming them. i still need to get my rt there xP

its not a crazy idea hundreds of ppl did that same exact thing when amber was at 3k-2k a piece, so you could pvp,FF and make like 100k-200k a day.

Trading would probably be the best but farming would be more fun and if you have completed Nightfall you could go to Domain Of Anguish and farm Titan gemstones

Also, does anybody know any good places for farming? Gates of Kryta is okay, but not that good. I'm considering the Ettins outside of Beetletun as soon as I cap Mist Form, but is there anywhere else?

Droks - Trolls - I know (Some guy said in a post to go left after you exit Droks in the portal by the Storage, correct me if wrong please)

Augury Rock - Hydras - Just farm

Elona Reach - Minotaurs - Enter mission, drop Ghost's crystal and take path on the right at the split junction in the path thingy.

??? - Griffons - ???

Please help

just outside augury rock people farm hydras for their claws.
