I was just thinking, about how the dervish/monk 130 hp uses the scythe inbetween the enchant casts of prot spirit and what not. It made me wonder, with all the enchants couldn't you just put points into wind prayers and use mystic twister? Around max it does like 130 per person per enchant. So with surviving enchants alone, you'd be able to hit a fair amount of things. I don't know the recharge of course, but it could provide the possibility of mass spell farming. Or even just a damage skill when you go out tanking for a group.

At 1 wind prayers it's 36, at 13 it's 112
I guess it could be useful to enhance your attacks but with a 12 second recharge I don't think it's a stand alone solution for the 130hp.
It is a useful skill for tanking, as long as it doesn't trigger AoE scatter.

it shouldnt trigger AOE scatter cuz it only hits 1 foe. The description is weird though cuz it says "(the same target cannot be hit more than once)." So what exactly does that mean? give it a test

Tested. Basically means that if you have 4 enchants on you and 3 mobs around you, each mob gets hit for 112 (at 13 wind prayers) and the 4th enchant is ignored.
So in effect it means that even if you had 10 enchants on you if you only had one mob on you it hits them for 112 only once, instead of the wishful thinking of the mob getting hit for 112 for every enchant on you.

This is Mystic Sandstorm Very different.
If you mean every mob getting hit yup Mystic Sandstorm would be more suited to it, but would also kill the caster in a 130hp build as it would remove all your enchantings including prot spirit, and you're still capped at 130 max damage regardless of how many enchants you had.

thats my point. the skill you are describing is mystic sandstorm without the downside. NOT mystic twister.

It's a nice concept.
Here's why it doesn't work:
130 dervishes get only a small part of their regeneration from mystic regen. Most of it comes from mystic vigor. Without which, btw, they'd die pretty damn fast, since they don't have 55 hp. For MV to work right, you MUST be hitting 3 targets at every swing, unless you're facing 1 or 2 foes(the myst regen is enough). So no matter what happens, if you're a 130 dervish, you need to position yourself and hit 3 targets. Why not take advantage of this and have the swings do damage?
Not only that, but wind isn't a good skill tree damage wise. 130 damage every 12 seconds? You do more than that in 2 swings.
Last but not least, the damage from mystic twister is cold based. That means it'll sometimes do decent, sometimes horrid damage to a mob. Physical is more constant.
