Is there a limit on the number of minions?

Ok, I'm new to having a Necro.
Every time I try to get more than like 6 minions even if I am keeping them healthy, when I try to create more it shows the increased quanty for like a second, and then instantly goes back to 6.

Please advise, what I am doing wrong, or don't understand.

There is a cap on the number of minions you can have, it increases up to a max of ten as you increase your Death.

Back in the beginning, there was no limit.

Now the limit is:

Death Magic: points/2+2

Points is how many attribute points you have in DM. From 0 to 16.

Thus, 0 points allows you to have: 0/2 + 2 = 2 minions max.

And 16 attribute points is: 16/2+2 = 10 minions.
