Just had to clear out a corrupted .dat file and now waiting for the game to download and decompress at every town and stage in the game.
The thought crossed my mind. Wouldn't it be 1000x better if I could leave my pc on over night streaming a complete dat file from the servers. I.e. absolutely all the content from all 3 campaigns and core. I really don't mind download the whole 4g in one whack if it would stop me having to wait once again to get anywhere in the game.
Wouldn't it be easy

add -image to the end of your .exe and it will download everything.
And yes its best to do this overnight, or when you will be away cause if you have to download (almost) everything, its gonna take a while.
So its should be : "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image
Change this by clicking right mouse button on the GW icon and going to properties and add the -image in the target bow after the location where GW is.
Remove the -image when its done so you can actually start the game.

The title is not very clear...
I know it would be a hard change in the engine... but that huge .dat file gets fragmented like crazy.
I'd like it to be spread in many smaller files, one for music, one for models, and such... that way the health of a disch with GW inside would be improved.

You can also leave the game running at login screen. It'll do the same as -image.
