Easter event: Is it ever going to arrive?

Normally with weekend events they are announceed on about the wednesday of the week leading up to that event. Its now noon on friday (GMT) and still there is no real announcment of what is going on. Does anyone think this is a bit strange? Normally with weekend events they start about midday on the Friday...

I think they've been a bit busy recently with the update stuff. The Scribe has announced easter egg drops so there will be an easter-themed event coming up. Maybe it will be next weekend, or during next week.

Hell, this big update was enough of an event for me.

More likely it will be like the saint patricks day event - just a couple of one use items added for shits and giggles.

do you really need to know now when exactly its gonna be?
just hold your breathe, come back in a half a day or so, see if it has started.
if not, wait for another half a day... it will come, just relax and wait for it.
its not like you have to start farming from minute 1 to the last minute.

You could be very true there. All that has been announced is 2 items: the chocolate bunny that gives 2 point to sweet tooth title and the golden egg which gives 1 point for sweet tooth and 1 point treasure hunter as well as some other bonus thing.
Hopefully this will be a better event that we are talking about but they have kept it very low key so far, pehaps that means somthing big will happen?!...

It may not be updated till later today. Anet servers/office run off of PST, so we still have quite a bit of time before they get to work and add it into the game. This is going by the example that pretty much all the weekend events start at noon (again, PST) on Fridays.

I second that, and dont forget the April's Fool Mini event that was quite fantastic ^_^

Id really like some bunny ears for my characters or something, but in all honesty, these latest updates have been a great gift already.

It's only 6:30am Pacific time right now, give them a few hours to wake up and have their coffee before doing any updates. We probably already got the code in the last patch, and it will 'activate' at a certain time.

Yea, dont be expecting redecorated towns or anything, more like a couple of new item drops.

People in pre-sear are expecting them to drop there as well, and they are already discussing how to get 1,000 chocolate bunnies so they can get the Sweet Tooth title while still there, the Drunkard Title there is getting rather passe....

are the eggs going to give treasure hunter points? I think the scribe said that. It would be nice to get that in pre:P

No in all seriousnessnessnessness I don't want to spend 2000k on the sweet tooth title completion, so this is one of those rare times i will be farming, buying and hoarding.

We did things a little differently this week. We did not make a Message of the Day type of report on what's coming, but instead reported it through The Scribe. You can find the details in the newest issue (out Wednesday of this week) and the event starts, as most do, at Noon Pacific (17:00 GMT) Friday. (That's today.)
