Got bored, made this, it works.
Its an RA/TA build, might even work in AB or GvG. Its basically a melee version of the Signet Spiker. I was just bored this morning so I made up a mock build, and surprisingly got a gladiator point out of it!
Attributes:
Deadly Arts: 12 + 1 + 3
Dagger Mastery: 10 + 2
Shadow Arts: 8
Critical Strikes: ZERO(very unlike me to have no CS)
Skills:
[skill]Assassin's Promise[/skill][skill]Dark Prison[/skill][skill]Black Spider Strike[/skill][skill]Horns of the Ox[/skill][skill]Impale[/skill][skill]Signet of Toxic Shock[/skill][skill]Feigned Neutrality[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
*Assassin's Promise and Dark Prison can be replaced with Parasitic Bond and Aura of Displacement)
Just pick a target, preferably one that is low armored or below 3/4 health already, and start out with AP and DP, or whatever hex/shadow step you choose.
Now unleash the combo from Black Spider Strike through to Signet of Toxic Shock, kill the enemy off, and all your skills are recharged(if you used AP).
Use FN as a heal, and Res Signet as a Res.
Since the combo is only a 15s recharge, the first 2 skills can be changed to whatever you want really, but this works for me! Aura of Displacement and Siphon Speed could even work here. I saw it kill any non tank/defensive stancer in one sweep, and brings even those defensive targets down to near dead so the team can finish them. It worked so well for something that took no preparation or ideas, it just amazes me.
for PvE, try death blossom instead of HoTo.

killed SEVERAL 500+ hp tanks with it, so basically the only things that stand against it are uber monks and defensive stances. WOOT!
EDIT: my god... i just singlehandedly killed a 4 man team + priest in RA... 2/4 people on my team was afk...

Well, I can tell you now that the build isn't going to work in gvg- You don't have 1/2 the mobility needed to do well there.
You're also going to be hurting heavily if a good ranger decides that he doesn't like you...no, he isn't going to miss your dual attack w/Distracting Shot...he's going to hit it every time.
Then again...as you said, this is an RA build, and there are almost never any good players there...so nothing to worry about.

Well, like all builds that use AP, once you see a team with a capable monk, it fails, and when it does, your only 2 hexes for starting the combo a screwed, think that 2 different hexes would work a million times better. The damage in nothing amazing, and it's slow, or atleast easy for a monk to counter. Being out of battle for 45 seconds ins't what the assassin is about.
