Another entrance to the catacombs?
Yoom Omer
I wandered through pre searing for the last week (working on the LDoA), and i thought how could Vatlaaw Doomtooth enter the catacombs from the start?
I mean, in the quest Charr in the Catacombs we found that he traveled through the catacombs to avoid the guards(south of the wall), but we never known how did he pass the wall in the beginning.
That led me to the thought there is another entrance to the catacombs north of the wall. (From now on every thing is theory) I guess we didn't found the entrance because it was hided before the sering and most likley destroyed after searing.
Any ideas?

I believe the implication of the quest was exactly that, there's another way into the catacombs north of the wall...
Alex the Great
um thats been implied when we learned that the catacombs went around 3 continents
or maybe there is only 1 entrace and u walk all the way to cantha......then back.

I think the Tyria-Cantha tunnel must be sort of new because the Dredge dug their own way to Cantha to escape the Stone Summit.
Maybe the Sunspear Sanctuary is linked to these tunnels in some way as well.

The Catacombs are connected to the Tunnels deep under the World Above. As stated, most of the game play in GW: EN is going to be under ground in these tunnels.
Now, the Catacombs aren't entirely full of undead. There are going to be a bunch of those and a whole bunch of other races, likely to include Dredge, Dwarves, Charr.

I believe that there where three entrances/exits to the small potion of the undead catacombs we played in during PreSear.

Yes:
Green Hill County
Ashford Abbey
Wizard's Folly
Those are the known entrances.

Well we'll wait for the mighty earthquakes to sort things out...
Tide to Go
there may be another way in, but thats prob. not how he did
i mean when ur in there theres one necro, they could have assassinated him without thinking twice

The Necro Oberan lives to cause problems after the Searing, outside the Catacombs.
And my point about bringing up the "known" entrances and exits to the Catacombs was to illustrate that there can easily be more waiting to be revealed by via a sinkhole or earthquake. These passages can be well disguised.
While traveling in the Catacombs you get the feeling of a very "layered" history. Some stuff is obviously human Ascalon and other stuff doesn't quite fit, e.g., the Gargoyle Bridge area with the huge bones.
So, I suspect that there will be much deeper passages opened up at some point.

drascir is the final resting place for all of ascalon's kings, therefore it must be connected to the catacombs. drascir is also located north of the wall and located during the ruins of surmia mission.
