hi, i have a lvl 20 paragon.
i have finished nightfall with him, i had him as support using incomming as an elite but then it got nerfed so i havnt really liked him since. i liked running a support paragon so i was wondering if someone could recommened a nice PVE support paragon build.
i would prefer it if i dont need to buy an new equipment but if i do then i do.
i have a darksong spear, luluh's spear and Wandalz's refuge as a shield.
any help is greatly appreciated.
looking for a good PVE support paragon

well, different people will tell you different things. the para can both run a decent support build with high dmg output as well as great support build with decent dmg output. the core to most any para build is going to contain these these skills though:
[skill]"Go for the Eyes!"[/skill][skill]Aggressive Refrain[/skill][skill]Anthem of Flame[/skill][skill]Spear of Lightning[/skill][skill]Signet of Return[/skill]
sig of return is really just any rez you like, but its not half bad, and you will already be spec'd into leadership, so why not.
in my opinion, the elite selection is rather poor atm for the para. cruel spear is nice, but not always needed in pve. same goes for crippling anthem. incoming just isnt worth the slot anymore, and the same might be true for angelic bond. ive been running:
[skill]Focused Anger[/skill]
yes, its bugged, but its still 100% adren bonus, which aint half bad. along with refrain, it creates a steady stream of "GftE!", which will fuel your energy based spear attacks. i usually throw in a deep wound skill as well, usually
[skill]Vicious Attack[/skill]
with all the crits flying around, it wont be a problem getting it to stick. the last slot i usually go with something else from the command line, usually either
[skill]Anthem of Envy[/skill] or [skill]"Stand Your Ground!"[/skill]
the equip and armor isnt important aside from having to have a command shield. attribute spread is usually something along the lines of 11+1 leadership, 11+1+1~3 (depending on what rune you prefer) spear, 8+1 command. this is more or an offensive oriented build, that offers strong support in a melee heavy team. pretty worthless in a caster heavy team, aside from its good dmg output.

Even post Nerf i still use Incoming Paragon, it was my first P build and i couldn't be bothered to tinker with it 'cause it still works great in PvE. I finished Nightfall from Varesh with this build post-Nerf and completed Factions without any troubles.
The build consists of 1 spear attack ( I like Wild Throw or Spear of Lightning ), 1 Rez (Signet of Return), and 6 Shouts. I normally put them in this order, but then your party needs to have some melee fighters, :
Find Their Weakness, Go For The Eyes, Stand Your Ground (keep it up as much as possible), Incoming (trickier to use but effective if you can time it to catch a spike), Never Surrender and Fall Back.
Command at 16 and Leadership at 10.
This isn't a "leet" build but it worked for me just fine PvE wise and I had fun playing it.
Hope this helped some.

ss summed things up pretty well. If you're really hunting for a para elite, there a still a few ok choices.
[/skill]expel hexes[/skill] Fits nicely on a para in hex heavy areas, while [/skill]cautery signet[/skill] is pretty sexy in heavy condition areas, such as anywhere with disease.
[/skill]defensive anthem[/skill] gets a lot of hate, but actually isn't that horrible if you have a decent number of casters in your party that it will stick to.
I like this builds:
[skill]spear of lightning[/skill][skill]vicious attack[/skill][skill]anthem of flame[/skill][skill]"go for the eyes!"[/skill][skill]defensive anthem[/skill][skill]aggressive refrain[/skill][skill]anthem of envy[/skill][skill]signet of return[/skill]
Anthem of envy is pretty nice in endgame PvE, but can be switched out for more fun stuff in easier areas.

I have found that [card]"for great justice!"[/card] is a good alternative to [card]focused anger[/card] if you want to use a different elite. you just cant use it as much...
I think strangeloves build is pretty good... but I would choose a different elite..

strangeloves build is the one im using now - its working pretty well although i dont have a command shield - having trouble getting my hands on one.
if anyone has Shagu's Anthem or Mallyx's Supremacy or Forgotten Shield (command) that they are willing to trade for Wandalz's Refuge plz send me a PM
thanks
also thanks for the build info all... really hope that in EotN they bring out some more useful paragon elites
