Linking Items To Trade Chat
Lifeinthefridge
With the addition to add builds and equipment to chat, why not do this. Allow players to link items that they are selling or trading into ONLY trade chat. When clicked on show the item and have 3 buttons under it that include Close,Message Player, and Trade(Your Character must still run to the player though) Also this should be an available feature for the party window as well.
I think this will help promote the use of LFG System(for trading purposes), trade chat, and make it easier to view items and shop more efficiently.
What do you guys think.

I agree.
This is something what I have also wanted for a long time. It's quite hard to sell or buy something, because it's pretty lame to manually write what are you selling.
And all those misspellings: "selling black dye 8k"-> When I whisper and say that I can buy it.Then he/she reveals that it was HIM/HER who wanted to buy it..
Can't understand..
Let's hope that it's coming to GW in near future

I totally agree , like builds thing! it will be great

I totally agree too, as long as it's kept compact. It will save a lot of time in that people won't have to whisper you asking an items stats and vice versa.
I'm even more for the idea that this can only be used in trade chat! Surely this could be a way of minimizing spammers in local chat?

Besides aesthetics-pleasing results, it will make the game seem more professional (WoW does this. While we all know we don't want GW to be like WoW, many people will think "Hey, GW has the item-linking thing WoW has. They must be good!" (Though some idiots will think they ripped it off, but that's aside from the point)).

It makes trade chat have some actual differences to local, other that which one people use. I'd suggest also allowing this in the trade part of party search as well.

I really like this idea, but I think it unlikely we will see it in GW1; it would require a lot of coding on ANets part. However it would be great if they could introduce this in GW2.

Simple to implement and would cut down on spam.

yea i really want this, i tend to merch stuff cause selling to players is a pain, this would help alot, and make trade messages much shorter.

I've had enough of all the trading spam in local channel. Maybe they can also automatically link the item description to an entry in the "trade" feature in "search party"
The spamming also occurs in trade channel, so maybe they should add a block feature that stops you from repeating the same message for 10 secs.

Yeah! THat's it! Since they can make those tags not to work in certain channels (templates do not work in General and trade) they could make those tags work only in the Trade channel, thus making impossible to use such a new faster system than people would like more and... tada...! Finally people would start using the Trade channel!
Yeah! You did it, mate!
Along with the idea of bilateralrope, I think this would be a great step against spamming and for faster, sure, easier trade.
