Where should I Get My First Armor?

Im out of preseering and all that, beat the first few missions, and I feel as if Im in need of armor. Im not waiting till LA or Droks because they're still way off. Where should I get it?

When I first played through Prophecies...
I got the better quality stuff in Ascalon, the AL 30 stuff.
By the time I had got there, I had enough cash to get AL 45 armour available in the Maguuma. After that, I picked up any better collector armour I saw (not really stressing over a full set, tbh) then bought armour at Drok's after the desert.
Nowadays... I run to LA (then on to Kaineng) or to Drok's, then hero/hench my way to Marhan's Grotto. Infused Starter armour FTW

I usually buy the 30 AL set in ascalon and that tides me over until I hit LA (and go to kaineng) or get run to droks.

Oh, and BTW, I suggest getting the higher level armor in Ascalon from Corwen (30Al for casters), and then saving up until you reach Droknar's Forge / Kaineng Centre, whichever one comes first.

In one of the "how stupid can you be" threads last year, someone posted that he never knew you could get new armor. He died about 1500 times before someone in the Fire Islands pointed out that he had starter armor (and yes it was infused).
Of course, now a days, he still wouldn't have found out, because they would assume he bought his look-a-like max armor in Cantha.
