Can Ritualists do Melee combat?

There is a skill called Spirits strength on Nightfall wich grants you a little power in combat. So i was testing a Scythe since it dealt allot of damage.

i managed to do 90 - 120 damage to people with 60 armor and 80 - 90 to people with 80+ armor.

Now can somebody come up with ideas for any builds?
