Hi, this is a small suggestion I got for current Guild Wars.
As you already know, the continents in GW are, Tyria, Cantha and Elona.
Each time you want to travel you have to chose between Lions Arch, Kanieng Center and Kamadan, Jewel of Istan.
So I was thinking to save time and come up with the following suggestion.
If your character has i.e Droknars Forge unlocked in Tyria, you would have that on the list to chose from instead of going to Lions Arch > Droknars Forge. Instead of ending up in district 1, lagging to pieces or something. I think this would save alot of time and it would be easier.
But this is not character wide, your character must have unlocked towns or you cant travel there, which only is logical. The biggest towns in each continent would be good, the list would be kinda long if they put every outpost/mission etc.
And heres a pic of how it would look.
What do you think, to much work for ANET or would they be able to pull this off?
And imo this does make sense.. its an easy travel map, I understand what you mean by having the whole map in one.. but I would like to see a picture or something on how that would work, if you care to elaborate.
ANOTHER EDIT: I think any idea will do, this is just an example of how it could look. Full map of all continents or not I think there should be a list for us to chose which big Town we want to travel too. The zooming though, imo is kinda annoying at times.
Travelling made easy.

I've always thought that they should add this feature into map traveling, since there is so much room in the left-hand column for a list of the major towns. It'd be quite useful to have.

Surely that doesn't make much sense. It would be better overall just to have a large map containing Tyria, Cantha, Elona and Battle Isles. Maybe with three levels of zooming.
Yesterday I wanted to go from Emberlight Camp to Gate of Madness and it take 3 loads. EBC-Kamadan-Vortex-GoM very is very frustration. Now in an ideal world it would only be one load to visit every town on the map. So what I'm suggesting is a large map (with a button in the corner to flip to the RoT map if you've reached it) on which all the continents are laid out, areas which you havn't explored are blurred just like they always have been. Also, plays with only 1 or two campaigns might see the Jade Sea in Cantha and think "I wonder what that place is like?" And therefore buy factions, which is another inscentive for A-net to implement this.
Sry to post another idea instead of yours but if they made a list of major towns then it would still take me 3 loads (EBC-CAPITAL-Vortex-GoM) to get to my destination unless Gate of Torment was also included as a capital and even then it's still 2 loads.

Nice work on the image, but next time, try following the rules.

Seeing as how what you should have been seeking is so easily found in the Index, I will not link to the thread as I would usually do.
