For reasons beyond my control, I recently purchased a new pc with .... vista. Since I really didn't want to build, I bought an off-the-shelf Gateway with reasonable, but not brilliant, specs. Of course, it only has an onboard video, which is very annoying. Here's what I've got:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
2Gb RAM
Nvidia 6150 onboard graphics
Onboard sound of some sort (which I don't give a hoot about anyway, since I usually use cheap headsets with TS/Vent running anyway)
The monitor is a 17" LCD with a max res of 1280x720.
Windows Vista Home Premium of the 32-bit flavor
The PC does have an available PCI-e slot for the potential to upgrade the video. Any reccommendations that will run GW on medium-high at a minimum of 30-40fps? Preferably inexpensive.
Ugh! I need a new video card....

7600GT should do fine... costs about $90-100. if you want to spend more, a 7900GS ($110-150) or x1950pro ($200). it's tough to find the 7900GS for $110, but it'd be the best deal of the three if you do. check your power supply for its +12V rating to see whether it can handle the cards first... or you can replace it with a higher quality one.
