Complications after the last update:
Brianna
Seems that I'm the only person to address this issue so far but..
For all of you people who run Dual Clients on 1 computer (2 games at once):
Have you experienced choppy lag after the last update? for me, its always the second game to be started up, it has very choppy lag and the only way i can stop it is turning off Anti-Aliasing X4, and i was thinking that the reason for this might be: because anet updated the games gfx? I'm not sure.. all that i know is I've ran 2 clients for over a year now and have been fine untill this last build of guild wars. on a side note: (I have changed no specs on my computer for a long time, so i doubt it has anything to do with that). If i cant find out the problem i guess I'll just have to upgrade my pc to match the updates, Any insight would help, thanks alot.
EDIT: Just to let you know, I'd like to keep this topic only about my original post, It's not meant to be another bug/lag/whatever thread. Just wanted insight about the 2 client's issue and if anyone else had problems.

I've been having choppy lag and i only run 1 client... it's just Guild Wars.
mortis corpus
i have when running GW and TS at the same time, and only in populated areas, Towns with more then 4 districts and such

Try setting sound quality to low and turning EAX off in both clients.
Brianna
Well, I didn't have EAX On in either client, (since i run no sound when playing), and I just tried turning the quality down.. but no luck. Last night i managed to do *something* while i was messing with the options and i got the lag to stop for both games, but i restarted them to see if i had fixed it, but when i reloaded it was back to lagging, so I'm not sure.

Couldn't it be a coincidence that maybe your ISP is having problems at the same time?
Brianna
^ Nah Lydz.. Because when i turn off my AAx4 i stop lagging, its purely my computers specs that are causing the lag (which i haven't changed) and the reason i believe is because Anet might have changed some specs in GW that my computer no longer meets, or something along those lines.

Also, anyone notice the Boss's glow? Is it just me or do they glow less? Is that intended if so does anyone know why?
KamikazeChicken
I've been getting bursts of lag that just keep getting worse. I've blamed it on having to steal wireless this month 'til I can move.

The sound requirements changed in the last update. Just add the -dsound switch to your gw.exe and you should be fine.
RSGashapon
Ever since the sound engine change in the last update, my stereo has been reversed. Sound events on the left side of my screen play through the right speakers (I have a 5.1 system) and vice versa. No other game or program is affected and I haven't modified any audio settings, in game or out.
Some sounds are also slightly distorted, without a change in the quality setting.
Edit: The -dsound switch seems to have fixed the problem. Sound quality is good and sounds no longer echo after initially loading into a zone.
