Anyone else dissapointed in Razah?

Alright, with the 4/5 game update, [wiki]Razah[/wiki] has been made easier to get. So, one of the first things I did after the update (after the crashes has stopped and the NPC let all-human groups into the heart of Abbadon ), was get the "all-powerful-one-of-a-kind" Ritualist hero. Now, I didn't expect him to have something special to him, like more Attributes or something, I just thought he would be able to maintain some common builds. So, on my first adventure with him, I set him to a Spirit Spammer:
[skill]Ritual Lord[/skill][skill]Shelter[/skill][skill]Union[/skill][skill]Displacement[/skill][skill]Boon of Creation[/skill]
*Note that I did not give him eight skills*
So, we went off to fight some Margonites, and the first thing he did, was cast Shelter. No Boon of Creation or Ritual Lord, just set Shelter. So, I decided to try again in another area, this time, he cast Rit Lord before Shelter, which is nice, but never cast Boon of Creation. So, I eventually had to manually do that for him.
Next, I tried a [skill=text]Spirit light Weapon[/skill] healer.
[skill]Spirit Light Weapon[/skill][skill]Wielder's Boon[/skill][skill]Recovery[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Flesh of My Flesh[/skill]
He wasted all of his energy casting Recovery whenever he could, instead of Life. And he used Wielder's Boon on allies without Spirit Light Weapon on them.
So, the third and final thing I tried was a Rt/N Minion Bomber.
[skill]Jagged Bones[/skill][skill]Animate Shambling Horror[/skill][skill]Animate Bone Minions[/skill][skill]Death Nova[/skill][skill]Boon of Creation[/skill][skill]Explosive Growth[/skill][skill]Spirit's Gift[/skill][skill]Flesh of My Flesh[/skill]
He actually used this one decently, however he had problems maintaining the three enchantments and would often waste his energy. He found Spirit's Gift to be better than Boon of Creation, so I eventually had to block that and after that he worked fine. The only other problem was, he would use Death Nova on people, rather than the minions. He seemed to use Jagged Bones whenever it was recharged, but I paid more attention to his enchantments.
So, does anyone else have any Razah builds that do or do not work?

I never found him to be terribly useful. I certainly wouldn't trust him with a spirit-spamming build, 'cause he would lack a sense of judgement on timing/positioning.
I usually keep him equipped with some Channeling goodies, such as [skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill], [skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill], [skill]Warmonger's Weapon[/skill], and maybe [skill]Spirit Rift[/skill] - if equipped with some elite e-management. Most of those recharge fairly fast, so the remaining slots are [skill]Power Drain[/skill], [skill]Leech Signet[/skill], and [skill]Flesh of my Flesh[/skill].
However, I usually would prefer a Command/Spear Para or MM in the last hero slot, with 2 SF ... /shrug.

He's pretty bad. Most ritualist skills are useless because the AI does not understand skill dependencies. He'll happily spam Channeled Strike without a pot, or Wielder's Boon without a weapon on the target, etc. Plus spirits are just kinda cast randomly, which doesn't help when you're constantly moving to the next mob.
The best I've found is to just go Restoration with Weapon of Remedy and Vengeful Weapon, he does a good enough job spamming those, and give him a pot (Generous / Protective), which he will maintain on himself constantly. Because of that Soothing Memories is pretty good on him. I just added a bit of emanagement and called it a build, because he can't handle much else.
At least, for PvE. I think he'd handle spamming spirits fine in PvP, where that character is not expected to be mobile.

General rule of thumb, if you want a hero to do something half-way decent, do it for them.

^that is the best way to use razah, use the spirits when YOU want them to be used. just disable his skills and click them only when they need to be used.
I love using him now though, hes great as a spiritspammer/channeler in hero battles, and a channeler/restoration in pve!

There's is a ten minute video about setting up Razah Here
I have a build my Guild leader gave me, but I didn't have most of the skills.

I got him but I do not have Factions, can anyone get a build for me ?
JoeKnowMo
I usually run him as an Attuned Channeler but I have to activate serpent's and songkai myself before/during each fight.
kazjun
Haven't used him recently (did the update change his AI?), but I found that he was most useful as a minion bomber. Most of the useful rit skills take a human to make the most of them, on the otherhand, explosive growth and death nova takes no complex decisions at all. He did alright as a restoration healer as well, though I'd still take Tahl over him for that.
tortugan
I run him as a weapons rit, with great succes. He doesn't screw up his energy nor does he drop the weapon spells on the wrong persons AND at the same time he removes conditions:P
Shadowlion
i do not have Factions so I made a Hybrid build.
Gaze of Fury, Destructive was Glaive,Renewing Surge, Warmonger's Weapon, Ghostmirror Light, Recovery, Empowerment and Rez Signet.
He is not good for hard mission, but usually ok.

Has anyone tried using him as a Splinter Barrager? That build is mostly spamming two skills, so he should manage. I've still got two missions to do before I can get him.
Bankai
Razah can't use Splinter weapon, and will repeatedly spam it on all casters.

Not sure if Norgu would know how to play this properly though

He uses [skill]Spirit's Strength[/skill] and [skill]Attuned was SongKai[/skill] quite well.
I made a Communing Rit out of him with AwS instead of Ritual Lord and that works reasonably well. Don't expect him to be as great as an average human Rit.

I tried giving him Professor Gai's build but without communing and using Life instead. He seems to use it fine (probably since it's an already AI-known build)

I love my minion bombing Razah. I keep his enchants on the left and I never see him not wearing them. I also include an offensive spell to keep him and his babies close to the front lines.
[skill]Explosive Growth[/skill][skill]Boon of Creation[/skill][skill]Animate Bone Minions[/skill][skill]Death Nova[/skill][skill]Jagged Bones[/skill][skill]Blood of the Master[/skill][skill]Bitter Chill[/skill][skill]Flesh of My Flesh[/skill]
Using this build, Razah recently helped my team wipe the floor with the mobs in Thirsty River hard mode. Whenever things are going to be corpsetastic, I find an excuse to bring Razah.
