How do you get rid of Farm Flag??
SlippyJack
Like most this weekend, I have been farming Bunnies and eggs..
I found a sweet spot to farm Minotaurs. I would kill, rezone and kill again. Each Minotaur would drop something. Then now I get nothing.....maybe one minotaur might drop a horn.
I figured I was flagged so I shut off GW and restarted. Didn't work.
I went to Lion's Arch and merch'd stuff. Came back....didn't work.
I tried chatting, because Bots surely don't chat, and I would be unflagged. Didn't work.
Yesterday I got fed up and did yard work outside....OUTSIDE!!!
I would really like to get my sugar title by farming. Cause that is only the way to do it... Only other way is EBay... If this Farm flag sticks, how else am I going to acheive this title?
Wintersday only netted me about 200 Fruitcakes..

I know what you're saying. I don't set out to actively farm anything myself, but I can definitely see how an overbearing anti-farm policy can impact legitimate players.
To me, the focus should be anti-bot and online item and gold sales, but unfortunately that gets boiled down to just placing restrictions on farming.
"Professional" Botters/online sellers can simply work around such restrictions because they aren't effectively tied down to characters or accounts to the same degree as regular players because they can simply practice a large rotation.
So, ultimately this just impedes the true player that enjoys farming leaving the botters and online sales people mostly unaffected.

The best way to break the farm code is simple; go and do a few missions, preferably in the campaign that you are farming in. Easy to do, perhaps, Dunes of Despair and Ice Caves of Sorrow (easily henchable, higher-tier missions) and then go farm somewhere else (try Charr...afterall, the lower levels still drop bunnies do they not?) then go back again.
Overall, perhaps an hour?

Doing missons helps yes. For the future: When I farm I try to farm 3-5 different places instead of one zone over and over... it seems to help.

I had my drops decrease when I was farming Kirin with my elementalist, so I stopped for about an hour. When I returned, my drops were normal again.

Huh? Ah i see now...i wasn't farming really, but a mission/ quest (whatever it's called) brought me back to the same place very often and after i leave, the map is always totally filled with red dots. I did wonder why there were a lot less drops suddenly...thnx for the info. Found a Ruby in a burried spot, forgot where i found it, flogged a 50k (appearently) worth of goodies to the merchant because i didn't know any better and i juat checked the priceguide which doesn't yet help me...i mean are all Fiery Gladius that expensive for example? I had at least 5 different ones *sigh* it's hard beeing a noob. Nice game though.

Armageddon, I really don't know what to say there bud..
back to the topic:
It went back to normal, then after a few of the same runs.. Nada again...
What really gets me angry, is that I had to buy the bunnies for 75k per stack now. I actually bought 2 stacks from the same guy. It took me a couple of weeks to get that money.
How can some get stacks and I barely get 100 in a 2 day span...?
Something ain't right...

When farming for special drops, the best place is Old Ascalon. You get fast, easy kills and drops include dyes. (Over this weekend, I got 1 black, 1 white, 3 brown, 2 blue, 4 red, 3 green, 7 orange and a purple.)
You can do the whole explorable area and just keep popping into Sardelac to reset. If drop quality falls, just hop over to Frontier Gate and come down and around the map back to Old Ascalon (all those portals reset flag) or do Northern Wall mission solo a few times (stay and kill all the Charr).
