Ok, I need help. I started playing Guild Wars since like 2 weeks and I can't just figure out how people become rich. I just have 387 gold and the farest place I have reached is Droknar's Forge. However Im having financial problems: I just can't buy armor or skills and I would like a little help.
-----> Thanks a lot, help would be appreciated

since you are still very early in the game (at least character progression wise), the solution is very simple atm.
1) walk outside droks.
2) approach mob.
3) kill mob.
4) collect loot.
5) see step 2.
just do that until u have some cash. since you dont have access to all the skills, armors, weapons, and areas, serious farming my not be an option for you. you can check out the campfires farming section if you want, but right now this is probably your best option.

LoL...The guys that you see that are very rich either have been playing the game 24/7 for 2 years, OR they Ebay, OR they are just very good at the game. The best way to get money of course is to Farm. Since you are in prophecies armor is not the biggest concern on your mind.
Just take some henchies, and/or people and go out and clear some char. You will only split like 10 gold, but you will gain experience and it will add up over time.
Pick up every single drop. This tends to add up. If you are really big into making money, i recommend making a char that is easily accessible to farming. I.E - Monk, War, Ele are the popular ones atm. Of course every profession can farm a certain thing, but find the one ur most comfy with.
Just keep playing the game, save your money for a certain goal your trying to achieve and you will get it. Make sure you are in a very helpful guild that can help you achieve certain goals. Accepting charity is always nice, but try to earn your own money, you will have a better feeling about earning that special weapon, special armor, or just a superior salvage kit.
Just keep playing! It will come over time! (Don't compare yourself to people, you don't know how they got their money. They could have Ebay...which is wrong.)

Seriously enjoy and learn the game first, you just play it for 2 weeks.

i say the best way to gain money and get to know the game (priceless) is by playing the game. when i started i thought 1k was a huge amount of money, but through time i just finished the game, learned stuff that helps and gain enough money to get me by

We have a forum dedicated to farming builds here, and if that's not enough for you, keep an eye out in Riverside for when people host giveaways for cash.
Beggings threads, however, are not going to cut it.
