Ah! I can finally can remember which was the idea I was planing to post today...!

I had this idea when I was completing some skill lists for a character.
When comparing then with the 'small icon' view, you can easily note which skills you are missing, just by putting the sorting 'by profession'.

But... what about if I you just want to compare elites or non-elites?
Ah... the elites get mixed, so I must check them one by one.

So I though that i would help to have a second sorting button, that sorts each subcategory previously sorted by the first one.
The second button would have all the options the main has, plus a "Alfabetical" option, this default option, to switch a second sort off.

This way, you could show the skills by attribute, then by energy cost.
Or by Casting time, then recharge time...
Or by Attribute, then elite or non elite...
Even you could sort by attribute, then by profession, and that would put the 'unlinked' skills in two different categories.

I'm pretty sure this would help both to check your PvE skills and faster selection of the skills you want in a quick glance:
Looking for all the Energy:5 healing prayers.
All the Illusion signets.
All the water hexes.
All the strengh melee attacks.
Etc...

This would render this one other suggestion of mine completely unecesary:

Since you could sort the list by profession, then by elite, put them in small icon, same number of columns in both Priest and your skill list, and you'll be able to check the missing skills just by one glance.

Remember that a player can have up to 150...266 skills at the same time!

Beware, If you it too many candy, you'll end having ideas like those:
