Guess u keep with the soft colours eh? I think this one could use some deeper shades aswell ^^ but well, thats mostly just taste I recon.

Well, the thing is, I rarely (almost never) color things digitaly when I do my work. I am more of traditional guy. Oils, acrylics, and watercolors are my preferable type of medium. Oils especialy. However, medium for them, and themselves are quite expensive to be "wasted" on this type of things. So, yeah, when I DO paint digitaly I try to avoid that realism (pinky skin, dark deep shadows, lightsources that break of the surface etc.), becouse, this is kind of illustrations from a game, and I want to keep that, game feel about it.
And you said it right, it's basicly about taste, who likes what...

I do like how u used purple to highlight the picture however ^^. I'm all of the traditional guy :P (don't have a drawing tablet, that limits the possibilities) Never use oils though, so expensive and I like working with acrylics and watercolours better, even coloured pencils ^^. I love deep shades though .. (my guildwars graphics gamma is toned down deeply).

One more thing. The next Joker I was going to do supposed to be a Warrior card. And, you might noticed that I started to do them in color, with background color matching the color for each proffession, Necro green, Mesmer purple... However, since the warrior color is Yellow, the next image will be b&w, becouse guys who's warrior is, HATES yellow. Well who can blame him. Even if I put orangy yellow as a background its still No for an answer. So, the next joker will be B&W, thou I'm gonna putt some more magic in it, so I can shade it and make B-W-G contrast pop up!

Ok, Ive totaly negolect all the commissisons on Order 2 Period, except for Lisa's. The reason is that I had a shit load of job to finish, and just I didnt have time to even do that and not to mention commissions. SO the next week or maybe even more is going to be all about commissions. Im gonna do all of ur guys images up till next weekend (I hope) so that those who wish to enter period number three (if there is going to be one at all, Im still not sure) can have a chance, before I close this thread.

OK, since Ive started on doing commision, finaly!! I decaided to do Maximus's order I delayed since from before Order 2 period. However since is colored image of Togo's death, I dealyded it for far too long. It's time to start biting and not only barking. So, heres the crop of the Grayscale scetch, where all the action is. It's only scetch I made to see wheter the poses and positions of characters are good. Now I see that Shiro's dagger looks too small in the chest of Togo. So, that's probably the first thing that needs to be fixed in final lineart, but on the other hand, who says that Shiro didn't have second set of small daggers . So, I'll post the final image once it's done, and Ramsis, mate, your Ritualist should be up tommorow.

I recieved an mail with congratz for being one of the finalists, but when I asked is it aloowed to post my designs on any forum, I got no reply. Well, anyhow I'll post some of them and only scetch versions I did, so if I find anywhere that I need to move them from this thread, I will do that.
Ive done like 5-7 designs of every type of weapon+shields... So here are some of them...

Well, the crapy thing is that my HDD died on me, and I havent backuped some of the commissions I was doing, so I had to start all over agian. I guess sh*t happens all the time, and it was my turn.
Anyhow here are some commissions that are done, one of them is free(as it was a gift), and unfortunatly one of them is not available for a preview.

Yikes, I'm sorry to hear about the harddrive crash. I've lost valuable data before due to that and it's definitely a really crappy thing to happen. I've learned to be extra careful now and I keep an external harddrive for taking backups.

When I got this computer, I backed up everything I had on my old one on an external hard drive. I save, clear the hard drive because I was giving the computer away, set up the new one, plug the external... and it was not working. Brand new. Lost all my data. I learned my lesson: don't delete until you can actually see that you have it in the new place. So I so totally feel for you.
