I've played the Beta version. It has a good feel, but has a lot of work to do already.
The system is based on 'shared instances', that is, up to X players can enter an instance without being in the same squad (party), once there are too many, you have to change to another channel (district).
The world is not continuos, but made of different maps loaded individuall, much like GW or RO.
The game environment is inspired in colonial Europe, each class has an own accent: Fighter>Portuguese, Scout>English, Musketeer>Italian, Mage>Spanish, Elementalist>German.
The buildings and clothing are a mix of Victorian, Baroque and other styles of the 14th..16th... centuries.
The graphics are so neat that you can even see the scales, each single scale, on a crocodile hide.
You can go with 3 own characters at the same time, much like if you could use two of your characters as heroes, but being able to switch the control to any of them.
Each class has an unique skill that is always present on their skill bar.
There are some ideas that could be used in a GW2, but it's better to make a game on scratch, based on suggestions to GW1, without looking a other games.
