I have a Ranger that has completed Prophecies kinda fast, got a bunch of titles, explored three quarters or so, and has only a few of the elite missions/quests to go.
But during all of this, I was poor. Like, never had more than 10k at once, ever.
Now I want to make myself a few sets of 15k armor, and need money.
I know that UW/FoW farming means good profit, but I'd rather not pay the fee and risk dying, or get barely enough loot to cover said fee.
Soo... any good place for a Ranger to solo farm and make a profit? I have Factions and access to R/A and R/Rt builds, and have been using a Splinter/Barrage build with good results in tombs, but even there, the run is over an hour, and if you buy keys, you make 1-2k at most, especially since the only greens I ever get from there are Elswyth's Recurve or Millius' Pillar, both of which are all over the place and stupidly cheap.

theres a ice imp build for a ranger, if u was a free and easy farm, ice imps outside ice caves of sorrow, you could go beastmaster and use ur beast to tank the ettins while u pick them off out of nebo terrace they drop runes and its pure luck if u have a sup vigor drop

Farm Totem Axes and sell them for 5k a piece... Other then that uhmmm dunno...

There aren't that many solo ranger "profitable" green farmings in Prophecy, there is a solo Totem axe build but that's so over farmed the axe only worth about 3-4K and is a hard to sell item, and then you can farm stuff mentioned above like imps and such try to get a rare rune (sup vigor, monk, death etc) but you have to be pretty lucky. I rarely use my ranger for farming but when I do in Prophecy it's almost never solo, either Tombs in a B/P group or Queen farm with guildies. If you are just looking to farm for money I'd suggest maybe doing it in a group or start a different char (monk)? My guildies and I often farm FoW in either 2 or 3 men group, it's really easy and fast (20 mins per trip?), we usually end with about 3K gold per trips plus a few shards, I'd say that is the most profitable farm in Prophecy.

It's not hard at all, just a bit boring. If u don't hv expirience, try duo or group trapping first.

Too bad you don't have NF cause Domain of Anguish is the best place for a ranger to earn money atm (dual foundry with famine for example).
Greens? Personally I don't think farming greens is a good option here, but anyway, solo totem axe with a R is really easy (but slow).
In my opinion solo/dual UW is a fast way to earn the money you need for your armor. Usualy 10-12k per 40 minutes.
If you don't like trapping, I suggest you should try running. Stick with something easy (you don't have to run Droks).. the desert for example, is a very good place to earn some money. Especially the Elona Reach mission. A run (that means mission+bonus) takes around 6-10 minutes, and can bring you 5-7,5k. The run is very easy and it doesn't require any NF skills. I don't know of any site with a build for it tho. I have my own which works perfectly and I don't mind sharing it - just contact me in-game and I'll be happy to give a run demonstration.
Anyway, I'll try to list a few farming locations:

I am not up to soloing FoW, mostly because I've been in there a grand total of 4 times. >.> B/P groups are harder and harder to find, and there's rarely one in ToA.

There are tons of people that needs this run - ascension/protector title.
Beware of scams tho.. check for money before run, and make them pay at last crystal. Runners usually ask from 1k to up to 2k for a run.

As far as Ettins Dropping runes, in my experience that is and has been severely nerfed from what it used to be. Havent tested in a month now, but considering i used to do it almost three times a week, averaging 5 purples and 2 golds a run, and now averaging maybe 1 gold and 1 purple per run, I feel this a thorough nerfing. Higher chance of rune drops farming the undead solo in Gates of Kryta. MUCH higher.
