So ...are they coming again?

Okay, I'm confused. They had said that they understood people were upset that they missed out on halloween. That they had wintersday not on Christmas because of that.
Then why are the Wintersday festivites so short? There's twice as much head gear to get, and they didn't extend it at all. So if your not a kid stuck at home on new years... You actually go out and celebrate the new year with your friends... Then your not likely to get an item for each of your characters? This stinks.

I opted to go out of town for New Years, then go to bed when I got home. No hats for me. After the Hallowe'en pumpkin head thing collected copious amounts of dust, I wasn't too enthused at the notion of another useless novelty item taking up space until I remembered to junk it.
Now maybe if these novelty items actually had some use, I might be interested in spending some time to get them... but a hat with no armor whatsoever, which offers no bonus or status other than saying, "Hey this hat represents 10 minutes of my life I'll never get back!" is utterly and completely pointless. It wasn't even a FUN event. Ooooh let's all stand around and twiddle our thumbs while the AI argues with each other! What fun! What joy! What a completely crappy and boredom inducing waste of some talented programmers time. With the Hallowe'en hat event we at least had some thing to DO while waiting for our precious dust magnet prize.
I'm disappointed with this one, to say the least. The Wintersday quests were great. The Snowball Fight Arena is an awesome concept. However, considering the wonderful pool of talent Anet employs, the hat "event" should be an embarrassment to them. Sleep, or stand around and watch mobs nag at each other? Hmmm.... what to do, what to do?
