Remove the (1) from one level titles!
NeHoMaR
Titles with only one level don't need the (1) in them.
Why you need for example "Protector of Tyria (1)"? instead of just "Protector of Tyria"?

I think I read the protector titles are getting another tier with hard mode. Even so, I'd say remove the number from all titles - as it looks really cheap. The titles change when they get higher anyway, so a level indicater isn't necessary at all.

Its picky... but yeah it does look a bit daft.

I think it's really stupid that there's a (1), I mean, what's the point?

I think it because the system used to show them, it is 'generic'.
So I'll change it to "Remove the (xx) form the last track of every title".
It would be a great price, if a title has no number, it's completed.
And making that way, they won't need to make a particualr system for one-tier titles, the same would work for all.

If it was "Protector of <insert campaign here>" or "Legendary Protector of <insert campaign here>" then I do agree there would not be a need for a 1 or 2. If they were to re-word all the title levels so it was clearer description then it /signed (edit) hmm I may change the /signed even if it's clear - Anet would have to come up with names for every language version of GW and the # help keep things clear. |
BTW, Protector title AND Guardian title will be totally different, totally separated. Gaile talked about that many times.
So, WHY a tittle like "Protector of Tyria" (without the (1)) is NOT self explanatory? I don't get it.

Not read/aware that gaile mentioned about separate titles. I was going by the in-game description (when you hover over title) where it told me about level 2 (protector) is earned when you beat hard mode version of missions.

I can see how it is kinda strange/silly but yeah this does allow for a.net to, if they want to, implement additional tiers to those titles later on.

This most annoying. I max out a Protector title to have a (1) next to it?
Um unless ANET is planning to give me guardian anytime soon....Rack it off!
It's just plain wierd. "You have reached the max teir for this title" Yet I still got a (1) next to it...Need I say more?

I believe the poster's intent was to say that he liked the (1) to be included simply on the fact that if he happened to forget that the title maxed out at one level, it would remind him.
Honestly I have to agree with that sentiment. Regardless of how many levels (be it one or nine), I like knowing the maxed out level without having to search for the info.

For all maxed titles to have any numerical reference removed.

the game can be good itself, but its the hundreds of little things that can make a game great.

"Maybe" I am wrong, but the only developers must do is edit the lines where the name of Protector title is and remove the (1), also with the future Guardian, and with Defender of Ascalon too, and any other they are planning. I know is a little thing, I mean, the suggestion is a very little thing, not sure if this is hard to develop, I don't' think so. Anyway, maybe this is the right moment because they are touching things related to titles for the hard more thing.
EDIT: Or they are planning to make "Guardian of Tyria (2)"? and gives TWO levels of maxed titles with it? mmmm! We will know soon!
