Hey all
I've bene playing the past few days with an interrupt/damage assassin build that's bow based. Well, here's the skills...
13 Critical Strikes, 12 Marksmanship, rest in Wilderness
Prepared Shot Elite Bow Attack. If this attack hits, you strike for +10...22 damage. If you are under the effects of a Preparation, you gain 1...7 Energy.
Keen Arrow Bow Attack. If this attack hits, you strike for +5...17 damage. If you land a critical hit, you deal an additional +5...29 damage.
Forked Arrow Bow Attack. Shoot two arrows simultaneously at target foe. If you are under the effects of an Enchantment or Hex, you shoot only one arrow.
Critical Eye Skill. For 10...30 seconds, you have an additional 3...13% chance to land a critical hit when attacking. You gain 1 Energy whenever you score a critical hit.
Disrupting Accuracy Preparation. For 36 seconds, whenever your arrows critical, they also interrupt your target.
Serpents Quickness
Troll's Unguent
Rez sig or another skill (for ABs)
Now, I've found that this is devastating against casters that don't have some anti-arrow protection going on. Practically every shot interrupts. This even works at interrupting non-casters as I found out against a certain touchie in an AB battle. But... being an experimental build I'm sure there's room for improvement and would like to hear some opinions. If anyone were to try it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Ah, should also include that I use a zealous bow. Energy is rarely an issue, there seems to be plenty unless you have a series of misses.
Thanks all, appreciate any comments or criticism.

I'd change Forked Arrow for Critical def and Prepared shot for Way of the Assassin.

That leaves only one bow attack... do you think that would be sufficient?

You'll have higher chance of interruping with WoA. And crits would take care of your energy management.
BTW Keen Arrow has 6 secs recharge so its rather spammable. And just auto-attack between Keens.
Would be fine. Gonna try out later.

I agree... this was just a wierd idea I had for a high damage interrupter. It's fun actually seeing keen arrow hit for over 100 damage. The two arrows from forked arrow actually gave me two shots at an interrupt (if one wasn't a crit). I considered using Dual Arrow... I think the 10 energy cost would be fine plus no conditions on use. The energy feed from Prepared Shot kept me pretty full on juice.
However, the recommendations also seem worth a shot.
Just a late thought... I was giving some monks absolute fits last night... you put two of these on a monk and it's history. Would make an interesting spike?

Yea critical interupters can shine, but only when they are lucky enough to crit. The better method would be to Way of the Assassin, Critical Defenses, Critical EyE, and Distracting+Savage Shot for NEEDED interupts(such as interupting heals).

Adding Critical Defenses was a HUGE help this weekend, thank you all greatly. I did notice (and maybe it's just me) that when I traded Prepared Shot for Assassin's Way I ran into energy problems a lot more than I would have expected. Going back to Prepared Shot took care of that nicely, however. There is, of course, the high probability that I was doing something wrong, but it worked for me.
Now if only Assassins had a good Critical Strikes IAS...
